“Great choice for a hotel on the beach in Bali.”

There are several great restaurants right on the beach within walking distance of the hotel. When you venture a short distance away from the beach and the hotel you definitely experience the "raw" and underdeveloped parts of Bali. You will want to hire a driver to take you places. It is a bit of a drive and takes awhile when you leave the beach to go anywhere else in Bali. The traffic is congested and the streets are not in very good shape. I have never seen so many motorbikes in one place before! The people in Bali are very kind and welcoming. Take at least a day to tour the beautiful temples and mountain areas. Also take a day to go visit the villages where the artists work and sell their goods. I hope to stay at the Anantara again when I return to Bali someday.

“Great hotel!”

This hotel was great. Loved the pool. The hotel was right along the beach and near a row of shops. The staff was always helpful and helped us to setup our tours with some brochures from the airport. The thai restaurant at the hotel had some really good pad thai noodles! The breakfast was delicious and they even gave us a box when we wanted to take some pastries to go. Highly recommended!!

“Outstanding hotel experience!!!”

Have to say without doubt this was one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. It is a textbook example of how to make a small hotel stand out with service and style. The staff from the cleaners to the manager were friendly and supportive. Best breakfast in Asia! The beach was quite busy but there are private areas in the hotel at the edge of the beach.

“A haven amongst the chaos”

Fantasic hotel - right on the beach but still feels so clean and quiet and away from all the chaos of Semminyak Would definitley stay here again. Only negative is - the pool is not as great as some other resorts we have stayed in. Its a bit small and right out the front of the main restaurant. But once you get used to it - its fine.

The staff and service at this hotel were above and beyond what we have experienced before. It is a relatively small hotel compared to some we have stayed in previously and within a couple of days the warm welcome we received and the attentiveness of all the staff, from the front of house, to the pool boys and even the security guards made this hotel stay really special. Would definately recomment to anyone want to stay in the Seminyak area.

“the best choice I made”

After 29 days in peaceful, rice paddy-filled Ubud, I decide to spend my last 24 hours in Bali on the beach. Staying at Anantara was absolutely the choice. The staff is warm and friendly, with an innate sense of hospitality. When I first arrived, my room was not quite ready, without hesitation, Gede, concierge,(who was there for me everytime I had a question or needed assistance) apologized and offered me lunch by the pool. Besides the amazing view of the ocean, the room was filled with every amenity one could possibly need. Since my return flight was in the early evening, after I had to check-out, they arranged a suite for me to use for showering before the long journey home. 24 hours was not enough time, but I enjoyed every minute of it. When I return to Bali, I will definitely stay at Anantara again.

“Design hotel”

This hotel is very nice (new) and very well situated (restaurants and shops are close: you can walk if you manage to keep the taxi drivers away from you). It's a good place if you don't intend to stay on the beach/ pool: the pool is small and you can't swimm in the sea as there are big waves and surfers. Hotel is expensive but staff is very nice, breakfast is huge and restaurant is good(even if the menu it not very big). We had a very pleasant stay

“Not great :-(”

We were on our honeymoon and out of three hotels we stayed in Bali this one was the worst....rooms were big but not not very convinient, poor attention to detail. Bar upstairs was nice but always empty (in July).... they showed us their Spa and it was very old fasioned and I wouldn't like to go there for a treatment. It is overpriced for what it offers...
