Lovely stayPosted Aug 4, 2014
I had a lovely stay at the Aston Tuban Inn. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed that the advertised gym/fitness studio was not yet available, but the happy friendly and helpful staff more than made up for that. The spa staff were especially fabulous, and the hula restaurant served excellent dinners.

Quiet and near the airportPosted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: The staff are friendly, rooms are clean. Even the room service is affordable and delicious.
Cons: Breakfast variety is limited. wifi connection is not stable, constant disconnection.
Location: 5mins drive from the airport, Pepito supermarket nearby.
Hotel is located in the quieter part of Kuta, good for those who prefer to relax. Transport to the crowded and happening side of of Kuta(about 2km away) is available from the lobby at certain timings of the day. Airport is also very near, a short 5mins drive. The staff are also helpful in arranging transport to places nearby

Wouldn't go backPosted May 29, 2014
Pool too cold to swim in, amenities listed unavailable, menu limited and most items unavailable. Main area was very small. Not an incredibly relaxing stay, would not return. Probably not worth what I paid for stay.

Conveniently located hotel near airport.Posted Apr 3, 2014
Pros: The quality & prices of the meals and rooms. The classic world charm of the marble floors and Gone with the wind stair case & the beautiful pool !
Cons: The smoking area away from the reception desk more. Kimonos to use to go to the pool in for a swim. A shuttle destination to the beach & back as well!
Location: Need to catch a shuttle to big shops as only small basic little rag trade type shops in walking distance. No nice eateries or sight seeing places.
Hotel was pleasant enough, as it was open air I being an asthmatic didn't like that only a couple of metres away smokers were sitting in breathable closeness to the arrival check in hotel desk! Also in the main dining area smokers were able to sit and enjoy their smokes to the discomfort of hotel residents non smokers misfortune who were eating their meals. Apart from that the hotels staff were very accommodating. Any needs or requests were quickly seen to. The hotel is more older but has that lovely marble floor or eras long gone but the revamp of the decor brings it closer to current tastes. We would still return just wish the smoking was further from the checking in customers. On the upside also is the meals were delicious & reasonable in price.

Great size room, great price, close to airportPosted Jan 15, 2014
Cons: Possibly the breakfast variety.
Location: Close to the airport, markets, water playground and shopping centre
We usually stay at the Aston Inn, Tuban while in transit. Love the room size. The pool area is great for watching the kids, even from the hotel room and while enjoying breakfast.

A pleasant stay with friendly service.Posted Nov 27, 2013
Pros: The quiet guests and its removal from the busy district of central Kuta.
Cons: More shuttle drop off times into central Kuta.
Location: Nearby were both small and larger supermarkets, local eateries and food vendors, doctors, dentists and a pharmacy all in about 15 min walking distance
Aston Tuban Inn is a very pleasant place to stay with friendly customer service. The free shuttle was fantastic and we really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The hotel’s pool is clean and often you will have it to yourself as most of the hotel guests are airline employees or Asian businessmen. The pool bar does 70,000 ($7 AUD) rupiah cocktails which were delicious!! Best to use the pool after 10am as it is right next to restaurant and you may not like an audience. The hotel Spa was wonderful, offering amazing Balinese messages starting from 180,000 rupiah ($18AUD) along with manicures and pedicures etc. Room service offered a menu of western and Indonesian options, and the food was prepared well and delivered in record time. The hotel room had terrific air con, great flat screen TV with a ‘Foxtel’ variety of channels, clean bathroom and clean sheets. The hotel café/restaurant has a generous buffet however be sure to include breakfast daily in your booking price as this about $17 AUD a day per person which you will find a bit high when decided to eat outside of the hotel. There is a pool table and ping pong table on the third floor – also a great place to lounge while waiting for a shuttle. Bali has no restrictions on smoking areas and people would often smoke in the lobby so third floor was a better place for waiting. All in all Aston Tuban is great mid-range accommodation if you’re wanting some removal from the busy, noisy Kuta district.

Good for Pre-Flight stayPosted Sep 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very adequate for the purpose we wanted - an economical room for last minute restup, shower and repack before a late night flight home. Shuttle to / from the Discovery Centre provided for last minute commercial activity. Shuttle to the airport was a no-fuss arrangement. All good and will do it again.
