“My new yearly retreat”

This experience has been amazing, the bungalow we stayed in had the most amazing feel, look and view. The staff were so lovely and very accommodating. The infinity pool was dreamy and the jacuzzi very therapeutic after a hard day bike ride into a couple of the closer villages to visit with some of the wood carvers. The yoga room is ideal, you have sun coming in and all you can see is the rainforest while you do your yoga and meditation, for me meditation is not easy but here in this little place in the hills, I found the practice a little easier. This little piece of heaven is a must do, not a should do.

“Best Trip Ever”

There is only one word to describe Bagus Jati, and thats UNBELIEVABLE! There are only 18 villas but you will feel as if you own this slice of paradise set within Jati Village. You go to sleep to the sounds of geckos and awake to a chorus of singing birds. It is a 45 minute taxi ride to Central Ubud, the cultural hub of Bali; The Elephant Park is about a 15 minute ride away. You can always hotel hop to a place closer to the beaches; but nothing beats the calm and serenity of this village/valley setting. The spa treatments will transform you and the prices are just as amazingly affordable, so much so that you can do 2 or 3 during an extended stay! The staff knows you by name and sincerely wants to please you (not just because it is their job to). Everyone smiles and says Hello. If you have lost yourself in the concrete jungle of your 9 to 6 daily routine, you will find yourself again here in this Eden of Asia.

“The Perfect Retreat!”

I truly enjoyed my stay at Bagus Jati. The villas are open and comfortable, with beautiful views of the forest. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. It's far enough removed from Ubud center to be the perfect location for a peaceful retreat, but close enough to see everything Ubud has to offer. You can easily make transportation arrangements with the resort and the staff was very helpful in pointing out the best things to see and do. I highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a relaxing retreat, and helpful guides.

“Bali's best kept secret!”

Excellent hotel. We had a fabulous stay. The breakfast buffet in the morning was delicious and the pool was wonderful. The staff is wonderful, they take care of every detail. I would definitely go back to this hotel in the future and will recommend it to all my friends.

“Wonderful Balinese Escape”

Perfect place if you're looking to escape! The Bagus Jati is in a beautiful and quaint location surrounded by rice terraces and bamboo forest. The setting was breathtaking and more than exceeded my expectations. While Ubud is a short (25min) distance away, the location is relatively in the middle of nowhere. This added to the charm and pulled away from some of the more touristy areas. The villas were nice and private, the restaurant with a lovely view of the hillside, but the pool, spa and yoga facilities were out of this world! The friendliness of the staff, made it a perfect all around get away.
