Great location with street and beach access

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Location to everything is fantastic, so many cute squirrels
Cons: The lighting around the grounds is bad. The breakfast was a bit boring...
Location: Located in Kuta South next to Discovery Shopping Mall opposite Waterbom Park with both street and beach access.
Bad...outdoor lighting, have to pay for Wi-Fi in rooms, beds could be upgraded (our caved in the centre), no mini bar or milk for your room, no activities, no kids club and not much for kids to do in general. Good...different pools to suit everyone, free Wi-Fi around pool, free sunscreen in toilet near pool, free mozzie spray and hand sanitiser at most restaurants (plus the hotel uses an outdoor fogger 3x a week) Good priced restaurants with good food. Ugly...there is a ceremony/funeral/burial/cremation site right next to the hotel, which is why there are no stalls/markets along the beach footpath for about 500m. It didn't bother us, we actually saw a burial ceremony, but I did feel like you should be told or something when you book so you have the choice to stay there or not...

Bali Garden stay

Posted Jun 23, 2015
Pros: It's location
Cons: Clock/radio in room. Needed to use phone for early wakeups.
Location: Close to Kuta Square< Discovery Mall, Waterbom Park and Art Market. Paved walk on beach front allows easy access
The hotel is well located not far for Kuta Square and next to Discovery Mall. Surrounded by nice eating houses. The hotel is in the Balinese theme with fine architecture and lust gardens to enhance the theme. It has two pools, one for the adults only and the other mixed. A nice swim up bar adds to the experience. The rooms were clean and fresh and included all the usual features. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. Dining was easy either a short walk from the hotel or down to the Boardwalk for a good selection of meals. Overall there was value for money in both the hotel and Boardwalk.

Lovely resort on the beach front

Posted Jun 19, 2015
Pros: Beach front location and beautiful gardens. The "Bali" gardens made it feel like we were in Bali , not just in some hotel anywhere.
Cons: Deleting the govt service and taxes for resort guests when eating at the Boardwalk.
Location: The turtle release program, just down the beach from the resort.
We stayed at the Bali Garden Beach Resort on the recommendation of a friend, and was not disappointed. We had 2 deluxe rooms. Breakfast was included in our deal with a great selection of foods. Location on the beach front was lovely and provided a short cut to the shopping. It was a bit of a distance from the nightclub strip and main markets (Poppies Lane) however we enjoyed the walks and transport is really easy and accessible. The resort gardens and pools were awesome and provided peace away from the local hustle and bustle. Made use of the swim up bar and cheap cocktails each day. Lovely meals at the Boardwalk (part of the restaurant), but disappointed they charge govt and service taxes to guests, where as restaurants close by did not charge this if you were a guest at the resort. It was my husbands birthday while we were there and we were pleasantly surprised and appreciated the card and 2 bin tangs left in our room for him. All in all a lovely place to stay.

Nice Hotel close to the beach a few too many steps

Posted Jun 16, 2015
Pros: The lovely beach front restaurant
Cons: the main pool loungers were very uncomfortabe no cushions and too many squashed together
Location: good location close to all shopping
The room was spacious and clean although we booked nine months in advance for a garden view room we were first shown to a 4th floor room right at the end of the building with no view to speak of but after voicing our dissapointment we were given a room with a nice garden view on the 3rd floor but if steps are a problem make sure you request a ground floor room

A great family Hotel adjacent to beach.

Posted Jun 5, 2015
Pros: Good value for money
Cons: Pool towels a bit worn. No Free Wifi, Pool area has children's pool and pool bar together, so can get quite boisterous and a bit of a worry
Location: Central to Waterbomb Park, Kartika discovery centre, Matarhari, Large shopping centre up past the Dynysty hotel, close to markets and restaurants
This Hotel is a real family hotel, with something for everyone. With so many people enjoying their stay, it can get a bit noisy around the main pool, but there are other pools you can move to, if you want quiet. Eating area overlooking beach is excellent, with very affordable prices both there and poolside. Lots of children, even in school term time.

Great hotel close to beach

Posted Jun 4, 2015
Close to restaurants and Discovery Shopping Centre. Also right across the road from Waterbom Park. Rooms are a great size and bed was very comfortable. Room was clean. Breakfast was ok could have more choices but still great not having to cook. Ask for rooms in new wing. They have better bathrooms and rooms are better and bit more quiet. Staff were fantastic and always so helpful. Have stayed here before and would absolutely return.

Nice hotel conveniently located.

Posted May 29, 2015
Pros: Loved refreshing drink when you come in lobby. Hreat pools and waterfront.
Cons: Free wifi needed.
Location: Close to everything, shops, safe money changers, ATMs, tailors, beach, Waterbom Park and some really good restaurants.
Would give this hotel top marks, however no free wifi! Stayed at many hotels in this area just as nice and much the same price and ALL had free wifi available throughout their facilities. Free wifi is a must for travellers, not a luxury.
