great location, simple resort, good dealPosted Jul 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed here for four nights and although the locals referred to it as a ""simple" hotel, we enjoyed it. the resort is a bit older and there is nothing glamorous about it, but the breakfast was good, the pool was clean, and it was located right off of one of the main roads in kita/legian tucked away by a small alley. it is about a 15min walk to the beach, but restaurants and shops are a block away. the staff were friendly and helpful.

A great place to stayPosted Jun 14, 2013
We found Bali Sorgawi Hotel very central to so many places. It is down a alleyway on its own, so away from all the street noise. IndoMart (convenience shop)was at the end of the driveway. The staff were so wonderful, We arrived after midnight & they were so accommodating, friendly & helpful. Our room was comfortable & so was the bed (that's a big plus in my book). The pool was awesome for cooling off in after a day of walking in the heat. As we walk a lot, we had walked to Waterbom Park, Legian & Seminyak all along the beach front paths. We would definitely stay here again. .

HospitablePosted Feb 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
Owners extremely hospitable. They went out their way for me, getting airline ticket, airport transfers, etc. No lift in hotel. Good choice for breakfast made to order. Little far from beach.

good value and convenientPosted Jul 29, 2012 on Hotels.com
I stayed at this hotel for a night before heading to g-land. it was super convenient to the beach and shops but set back from the action. The rooms are large and the warm shower is great. It's an older building that with some minor work could be made to look at lot more flashy and expensive.

It is what you pay for, quite basic but the location is good. Very quite as it is off the main street down a alleyway

Bali HighPosted Feb 24, 2012
Pros: Affordability friendly staff &cleanliness
Cons: Breakfast was poor powdered milk for cup of tea great misunderstanding on eggs & butter awful.
Location: A little too far from beach & hotel difficult to find down main street
Nothing bad to say about the hotel although it was perhaps a little far from the beach. Also being new to Kuta area it was quite difficult to remember the exact location. Whilst there was a sign I was not very prominent. The hotel offered everything we required, there was a small gym area which looked little tired but the pool looked quite inviting. Also our room looked onl to a small fish pond but the artificial flowers & the grey concrete wall did notdo it any favours. However would re- visit if ever in Bali again. Whilst we were there the paving area down the main street was being laid which made walking difficult.

If you need a room for 1 night then this maybe ok but I'm sure there is better around. Also in the middle of everything but not close enough to walk

Loved itPosted Nov 6, 2011 on Hotels.com
Charming little Balinese family-owned & staffed hotel, just a 50 metre laneway off Jl Legian & away from the hussle & bussle, but close enough to walk to wherever you want. I walked from Waterbom. Regularly walked to Poppies Lane 1 & 2 & Kuta Square. Lots of great cheap eating places within a few minutes. Staff were wonderful. After staying at Resorts in Bali for 25 years, I would choose the Sorgawi above any of them now. Small pool, & don't expect it to be in the sun a lot. It's not a hotel for lounging around a pool being served cocktails. But if you want real value for money, a good location, great friendly staff, clean room & give your money to the Balinese rather than a corporate hotel chain, this is the hotel for you. I just adored my week there & would go back.

cheap accomindationPosted Oct 3, 2011
This hotel is situated between Legian and Kuta with only a 10min walk to beach and lots of places to eat nearby. We had a standard room which was below average. The springs had gone in the bed so not too comfy and there where dirty/ leaks on the celling but saying that the room was cheap and a good size. Breakfast was included even though it didn’t mention it anywhere but it was a good Balinese breakfast. Also the pool was nice and clean. We did see into other rooms when they were cleaned and the next room up from standard looked nicer.

SorgawiPosted Aug 11, 2011 on Hotels.com
We only stayed One night, it was not a very inviting place. I couldnt Shower as the drain smelt so bad. The breakfast was very average. To top it off they put us in a room right next to where they were renovating. So from 6am till 9pm all you could hear was banging and other loud noises. If you can spare the extra money, go somewhere better and enjoy your holiday.
