30th trip to BaliPosted Dec 8, 2014
This hotel is middle of the road. On a positive note the staff were very friendly and it is a great location. The room was not cleaned very well but fairly normal by Bali standards. The air con was only just cold enough, the fridge however was icy on the lowest setting. The pool closes at strictly 8pm which is disappointing in December when the humidity is very high. A swim after dinner would have been great. I stayed at this hotel once before and had money stolen which according to Trip Adviser seems to be a reasonably common occurrence. In the 30 times i have been to Bali this is the only time money was ever taken form my safe. I only stayed again because it was a friends choice. Theft did not occur however on this occasion. All the negatives can be overlooked as none were major, however there are better choices around. Two of my absolute favorites are Casa Padma and Three Brother Bungalows (Legian) Overall our trip was great. Thanks again to Prestige Driving Service which is by far the best driving service in Bali

Nothing fancy, but a nice place to stay.Posted Nov 18, 2014
Cons: The shower head was a bit blocked, making a shower a bit of a task.
Friendly staff, nice meals and two pools to cool down and have a drink by, Champlung Mas is a convenient place to stay.

Loved ItPosted Nov 13, 2014
Pros: Location, price, pools.
Cons: Just minor repairs as is getting a bit old.
Location: Excellent location, with markets and of course PIPS massage which is just around the corner. Billy's restaurant, MOO MOO's, and Uncle Norms.
My daughter and I have just returned from 16 days at Champlung Mas. A friend told me about the hotel so thought we would give it a go. We loved every minute we were there, we up graded to a pool side room which was excellent. The staff were amazing and couldn't be more helpful. I loved the location, so close to good restaurants, markets and beach. The hotel could do with a few repairs but nothing that made our stay less enjoyable. Will definitely be staying there again. Thanks Champlung Mas for such a great holiday :-)

Huge hotel but be wary of street renovationsPosted Nov 6, 2014
Check in easy. All staff helpful and friendly. Roof top pool a bonus.but very hot as it is all concrete. Planting big palms would be great idea. Bar up here also is fab and drinks reasonably priced. The day spa here. I had a body scrub massage facial was about 20 aus fabulous. Large pool on ground level also. About 10 minute walk to legion beach but all flat apart from renovations to road/lane out front. Breakfast was adequate usual eggs bacon cereal. An excellent hotel if you are on a budget or for the young ones. Hope this helps.

low budget close to everythingPosted Oct 10, 2014
Pros: great sized room - our room was extra large. the spa on the 5th floor was awsome really good treatments - we had a facial and massage and cream bath
Cons: new pillows and a toilet that works
Location: great location close to all that happens in Legian and Kuta. cheap and easy to get taxi from.
we stayed 7 nights - in the new part of the hotel. basic low budget hotel close to everything. you get what you pay for. nothing fancy but it was quiet and away from the noise. our toilet didn't work and we asked 6 times to get it fixed and they unblocked it but the next time we used it it blocked up again. and again. the spa on level 5 was the best part, the service was excellent much better than a massage or treatment on the street highly recomend

Great locationPosted Sep 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
Location close to beach, shopping and restaurants. Three great pools especially roof top pool and bar for sunsets with 2 for 1 cocktails. Wi Fi and TV patchy but supposed to be holiday and easy to find better Wi-Fi at KoKo restaurant 1 minute away. Friendly staff. Good value for money. Very quiet apart from occasional noise from other guests enjoying themselves.

champlung mas experiencePosted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: close to the beach 10 min walk to legian beach
Cons: breakfast and very bad toasters Seating around pool .
Location: Legian....... good food /bars /beach /and shops
stayed here many times comfortable rooms staff are good , we don't hang around hotel much, out after breakfast. Bar open 24 hrs in one bar the other bar closes at 10pm . can be a bit noisy at night because you get a echo through the corridors . Japanese tourist can be the noisy lot as they don't really care if they wake you up. The can come in at any time .

Great hotel - Cheap pricePosted Sep 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
I was a little sceptical about staying at such a cheap hotel but found Champlung Mas to be clean comfortable and well located. The staff were friendly. The Spa on the 5th floor is well worth a visit.
