Beautiful hotel, very central to all shopping, wonderful staff

Beachfront, close to the airport and quiet hotel. accesible too! The restaurants in the hotel are great. The Seafood buffet is excellent and must not be missed! Flight out of Bali was at midnight so the hotel allowed us to shower and get refreshed at the spa without charge.

Could not fault this hotel. From time of arrival of which we were 3 hours early, they swiftly accommodated us in to our room and upgraded too free of charge! The breakfast buffet was out of this world, facilities abound and staff in all domains were professional and friendly. If only the Australian hospitality industry could adopt their attitudes. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with the world's most beautiful pillows! I want one! The food was fresh and delicous. Room service was prompt and pool bar staff most accommodating. They provided a broad range of activities for all ages in the pool area, with live entertainment at sunset. If you felt like chillingout in your room after a long day in the sun, TV channels were brilliant, 52 of them for free! No hidden extras here. On top of that, free Wifi! I will most certainly come back to the Kartika on my next visit to Bali without a doubt. Thank you Discovery, you made my holiday awesome. See you next time.

“Amazing Luxury Resort”

Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel is much more than a hotel, it is a home away from home in a class of its own. It was recommended by no less than 4x friends who have stayed there before. And they were right! No other Hotel or Resort in the Kuta main area compares with Discovery's well designed spacious grounds. The rooms were spacious and very clean too. The buffet breakfast was incredible with a huge number of choices (we didnt eat lunch for our entire 7 day stay!) Service is prompt, professional and friendly - from the bar staff in the Kul Kul pool bar to the security staff stationed 24/7 around the grounds. Location was amazing, this was my 4th holiday to Bali and this was by far the very best location; Discovery is located among other international hotels on an exclusive strip within walking distance of Kuta's main tourist district. We felt like we stayed in paradise within easy reach of everything, the hotel has huge 'wow!' factor and it comes as no suprise that many weddings and conferences are held there. We loved their themed dinners, and definatley recommend upgrading to an ocean front suite on the ground level for an unforgettable holiday! We are most certainly coming back and bringing with us our friends and family!

“oasis of calm”

Kuta is very busy and the traffic a nightmare, but once inside the hotel, you leave all that behind. Fabulous airy cool lobby, enormous room and comfy bed, nice bathroom. Very attentive staff, can't do enough for you. Great pool. And fabulous buffet breakfast. We stayed for a week and, along with other 'long term' guests, were invited to a drinks reception with the hotel manager on the Monday night. He was very pleasant to talk to and it was a nice way to socialise with other guests. Nice touch.

I'm one of those people who is sceptical about the advertising and promotional claims of businesses or services, so when I read that the Kartika Plaza Hotel was the best in Kuta and the only one with genuine beach frontage I arrived with certain reservations. To say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement - it was fantastic - without doubt one of the outstanding holiday locations my wife and I have stayed at, while every expectation from our stay was more than satisfied. My only question is, if this great hotel is four and a half stars, what does a property have to do to be judged as a 'five'.
