Four Seasons Jimbaran (and Sayan) is by far the BEST place to stay for a quite and REAL Balinese experience. Hotel: Beautiful grounds, Accessible beach (very swimmable). They have kayaking, Hobie catamaran, snorkeling (bay is so-so for snorkeling), and a few other options for watersports. Overall atmosphere at the hotel is QUIET... felt like the only ones at the hotel! Which was great and just what wife and I looking for... Service: Amazing! Cater to every need... Sit by pool or beach and personal attention of providing water/towels/sun tan lotion. We hired a driver (through the hotel) a couple of times. We gave the concierge a general idea of what we wanted to do. This was translated perfectly to the driver who put together a great itinerary each time and made for wonderful side trips. 2 we recommend: 1) USAT Liberty (in Tulamben 2.5-3hrs away), worth the drive for GREAT snorkeling and diving. 2) Uluwatu Temple (stopping a few beaches along the way down) (30-45 min away). Restaurants: Good and can be affordable. Also options nearby. Area: Jimbaran has a real Balinese fishing village feel, cool atmosphere in the evening with the Warungs on the beach. We also stayed at the Sayan for 2 nights (setup after checking into Jimbaran). They arranged everything and we had an amazing experience there as well! We also ate at Ayana down the street. Crowded with buses and events... Very busy and commercialized. SO glad we made the decision of staying at Four Seasons.

“An oldy but a goodie”

Exceptional staff, a beautiful location and a very sophisticated, mellow vibe. Good food but rip-off prices. The best thing about the food here is the hotel's proximity to Grocer and Grind where you can have plentiful quality coffee at a third of the price. Very private but this place also has the feeling of being amongst it if you want to be. An excellent gym, pools etc and a spa that a self respecting Russian oligarch would consider good value. Bed was a bit uncomfortable but otherwise the villa was spacious and well appointed, and pretty luxurious. The 4km proximity to the airport made the journey home to the airport a relative joy - only 90 minutes in the taxi - a breeze for Bali during Christmas holidays...!
