“Mediocre”

The resort shown online appeared much nicer than in person. It is not the best resort. If you are on budget and short on money, that is the place to be at. The air conditioner is working mediocre (only 5000 BTU), lights are a bit dimmed and staff don't speak English too well. Have a hard time reading at night. Eventhough I was told I have cable, there was no cable. Requested room change on the first night due to the air conditioner not working.

“Graha Ubud”

A pleasant older hotel with friendly staff. However on the third day of an eight day syay the hot water disappeared. As it wasthe reason I paid thr higher price I complained to the staff. So sorry, it wll be repaired today. When I left, six days later there was still no hot water and the staff only offered So sorry.

“Not the best (or best value) place in Ubud”

The Graha Ubud is located at Monkey Forest Rd. which offers close to 100 nice(r) places. Although prices are reasonable, the place is lacking charm and the room is old and well-worn. There is no view of the surroundings which is quite a shame in the lovely Ubud area. The pool is small and not very attractive, breakfast is poor relative to other hotels and restaurants. Altogether the name 'resort' is definitely too much honor for the Graha Ubud. The big plus in this place is the friendly and competent staff.
