relaxationPosted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: Environment and placement of hotel. Staff all very accomodating. Room had sea views
Cons: Day Spa - reflexology turned out to be leg massages predominantly. During a massage therapist lef 3 times to answer phones. A bit off putting.
Great; close enough to access Kuta and tourist attractions. Far enough away to be relaxing. Friendly and clean.

Nice hotel but..Posted Sep 10, 2014
Good: -the room is clean and tidy -the swimming is good and the location is very good and close to other five star hotels along the beach -the staff are helpful -10 to 15 minutes to Seminyak square if no traffic Bad: -mosquitoes in the room even with the mosquitoes repellent doesn't work -no wifi in any room. the wifi only available in lobby. i changed my room twice but still no wifi.

Charming and relaxing hotelPosted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: We liked the swimmimng pool, food and gardens.
Cons: Room needs to be cleaned thoroughly.
We stayed at Grand Balisani for 6 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. On first glance the buildings appear to be rather ancient but they certainly are not. The buildings have the texture and look of Angkor Watt - grey and rustic. Herein lies the beautiful charm of the place. The gardens are lovely and the water features are soothing and relaxing. The swimming pool is very nice and the swim up bar is great. Food/drink prices are very reasonable and there was live entertainment nearly every night. The buffet breakfast is sufficient - all of the usual hot and cold foods although a few more cereals would be good. The view, while eating breakfast, overlooking the pool and towards the ocean is fabulous. The staff were always friendly. There was a free drop off shulttle running every hour into Seminyak and Kuta. The hotel is located at the northern end of Seminyak beach. There are a few restaurants, bars, minimarts (Mosiac restaurant is next door but this is comparatively expensive compared within local eateries). within walking distance from the hotel but the road, especially at night, is quite dangerous as there are many open drains and very limited footpaths and lots of traffic. The room was spacious with a very comfy bed and large bathroom. We did notice a few mosquitoes but asked for fly spray. We did not get bitten. Apparently Bali is now considered to be malaria free. The beach is black sand and not really a swimming beach for the inexperienced.

Quiet and relaxingPosted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Staff, cleanliness
Location: The location was. A little far from the main centre of town and we did venture down the beach to the next town however his was quite a walk. Enjoyable
Hotel was great, breakfast was beautiful with a good mix of local dishes and western dishes. Rooms were tidy, staff very helpful. Was my birthday during our stay and the beautiful waitress at breakfast arranged a cake for me. Pool was relaxing with great bar staff in the sunken bar. The staff helped arrange tours and transfers. Couldn't fault our stay, overall a wonderful place to stay.

Great locationPosted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Staff, location, views, food
All of the staff at the hotel were so friendly. We took a 2 year old and they were all so loving towards her. We had an ocean view room, and it suited our needs just fine. Only takes 10min to walk along the beach into the busier seminyak which was perfect for us. Overall we would recommend this hotel, the only thing it didn't really have was an information pack in rooms regarding the resort or other activities in area, have to find out yourself. But that was all easy enough.

It was ok but pricey for what it wasPosted Jul 25, 2014
It was a great location, rooms were a good size, staff were friendly but; The drain from the aircon was leaking into the cupboard and wet our cloths and the room smelt moldy from start to finish. The other thing was I got sick from the room service satay and lost a day of our holiday from being sick.

Lovely place to holidayPosted Jul 24, 2014
Lovely hotel on the beach. Reasonably well priced for location. Slightly out of seminyak- can walk to lots of places along beach. Staff lovely- was my birthday- they organized a cake and sang happy birthday. Nothing too much trouble for them. Drinks quite expensive compared to other places nearby. We had a great time here, gardens also beautiful

Quiet, good value location on the beachPosted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: Location, good value
Cons: Wi-Fi access in the rooms
Very good value hotel. Quiet and peaceful location but only a very cheap taxi ride into Seminyak, Kuta etc. Garden View room was spacious and comfortable, big bathroom and balcony overlooking ponds and gardens. Breakfast was good and the pool area right on the beachfront was very pleasant with nice big, comfortable sun loungers. The only small negative was the lack of decent Wi-Fi access in the rooms though there was good wi-fi access in the lobby area. I would definitely stay here again.
