Very relaxing and nice resortPosted Nov 18, 2014
Cons: Staff's English however was not a problem for us
Location: Short walk to bars and restaurants and only a cheap cab ride or about a 20 min walk to Seminyak Square
Stayed for 5 nights in an upstairs bungalow. Loved every minute.

An old favouritePosted Nov 11, 2014
I love staying at Villa Lumbung. I have stayed there many times and the staff remember me which is lovely. I stay there because it reminds me of the "old'" Bali. The new hotels are like hotels in my hometown...modern and uninteresting. At least Villa Lumbung retains an exotic feel! I love the surrounding gardens which are kept in pristine condition. it is also close to good restuarants and interesting shopping. I will stay again.

Great PoolPosted Oct 31, 2014
Pros: Pool area and reception area
Cons: There was music by the pool and it was quite loud and after a while over powering, " balanese style"
Location: All the ususal stuff including Sem Square and the flea market accesed by a $5 Taxi fare
Beautiful reception with the typical bali open air restaraunt etc, the pool area was great with multiple heights and different areas fo various groups of people. Nice pool bar and also a spa. There appeared to be 2 styles of accomodation, private Villas which looked awesome and the Hotel block which was where we were. My father "76" got a bottom floor room which was ok, we were on the top "3rd" floor which wasnt so great. Stairs to access and very noisy corridoors etc due to all tiles being used, it was a queit time of year so I would think this could get very noisy if you were a lae sleeper. Other than that, room was as you would expect.

Tolle WohlfühloasePosted Oct 28, 2014
Cons: Mehr Liegen am Pool. :)
Location: Seminyak, in der nähe vom Hotel gibt es alles was man benötigt. 7/11, Restaurants, Apotheke, Massagen, ATM
Keine Frage.

This is the Place to stay.Posted Oct 23, 2014
Pros: The hotel is set in the most spectacular tropical gardens and authentic Lumbung accommodations, with two swimming pools and swim up bar.
Cons: A can of insect repellant in rooms would help to keep the mosquitoes away at night.
Location: A very quiet location, only $3 for a taxi to Seminyak Square for restaurants, shops and marketplace. Also, there are lots of places for massages, etc
This is the second time I have stayed at the Hotel Vila Lumbung and I have never been disappointed. The staff are really lovely and always have a smile and say "hello" whether it's reception desk, the bartender, the restaurant manager, housekeeping or the pool attendant. Immediately, you are made to feel at home. The atmosphere is so relaxed. Other members of my family have stayed here also and they loved it here too. After enquiring at the tour desk in reception, we didn't have any problem with hiring a private driver for day trips to where ever we wanted to go. (Good idea to do Google research on "What to do in Bali" before you leave home). We booked a day at the Elephant Camp which included pick up and return to Hotel but the driver never showed, our private driver "Gede" (pronounced G'Day) offered to take us, it was quite a long way and the Manager at the Elephant Camp paid our driver. The staff cannot do enough for you. If I go back to Bali again, I will definitely be staying at Vila Lumbung (Paradise in Seminyak).

Nice hotelPosted Oct 19, 2014
Pool is great, but sun loungers get busy. Our aircon didn't work well and we had a rat appear in our room, eating the complementary fruit. Overall the hotel is nice and very clean. Staff very friendly.

Loved the location and the pool!!Posted Sep 30, 2014
Pros: Location, Pool, friendliness of staff.
Cons: The understanding of english from the front desk staff was a struggle. showers over bath are a bit rough. not enough pool chairs. breakfast was avg.
Location: everything a close scooter ride away. beach, main seminyak shopping/eating street, minimart. and the BEST seminyak coffee shop Revolver is 100m walk!!
We loved staying here. the pool area was so good. and the location for us worked really well. everything was only a short scooter ride away. we would totally stay here again, despite some of the minor things that weren't amazing.
