“An oldie but a goodie”

An older hotel, beginning to show it's age a bit with the furniture and fittings, but still clean, comfortable and a delightful place to stay. We had a room in the Garden Wing which overlooked nice gardens. Try to get a pool view room if possible. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel has three pools. the main one by the tower block gets pretty busy. We used the next pool to the West, nice garden setting and always plenty of vacant chairs. The attendants will move chairs to wherever you want to sit. Breakfast was adequate, most dishes being Asian but enough Western dishes to satisfy us. The staff were all very polite and friendly. Our room attendant Ketut was always smiling and cheerful. The location is perfect being right on the beach and only a short walk to the main beach strip with it's many shops and restaurants.We intend to return and will take our grandchildren, they will love it. The price we got through Expedia was very good and well below the hotel's normal rates. Definitely recommend this hotel.

“COMFORTABLE BUT NOT FANCY”

Good value for room and breakfast. The hotel is a little "tired" but the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The pool staff lack motivation and it was a struggle to get them to agree to let me do the advertised activities. The large size of the hotel doesn't allow for that Bali atmosphere and friendliness experienced in some of the more traditional styles of accommodation. The tower rooms are nicer than the garden rooms. The lack of a safe in the garden rooms was somewhat of a nuisance. The hotel is right on the beach which is handy although about a 20 minute walk from the main shopping area. However they provide courtesy transport regularly to Hardy's (supermarket). I would stay here again but it wouldn't be my first choice.
