Kamandalu Ubud - The Perfect GetawayPosted Jan 21, 2015 on Hotels.com
The Kamandalu Ubud is the perfect place to get away from everything and the perfect place to get some R&R. The resort is itself is truly amazing as well as the scenery around the resort. Definitely rent a bike and ride it in the rice fields! Also, the Indonesian food is very good although the breakfast was quite average. The service was great, the pool was relaxing, and the optional classes (I did Yoga) was a plus. If you're looking to get away from everything for a couple of days, the Kamandalu is definitely a great option! I would definitely come back!

The small details that make the biggest differencePosted Jan 13, 2015
Pros: The small details, from the gift at night to the aprons given during our cooking experience.
Location: Night Safari at the Bali zoo, well worth the experience Markets at Ubud, Massages and spa treatment at Kamandalu, cooking class at Kamandalu
My wife and I booked this hotel for our short trip and honeymoon. After a long day traveling, we arrived at the hotel late at night. I don't want to spoil the surprise but when they opened the gates of this hotel, it was something out of the travel novels of Paul Theroux. A majestic and enchanting place where the staff epotimises the essence of the famous Bali hospitality. We couldn't be happier with our stay. The service is impeccable and friendly and very attentive to your needs. Culturally nestled amongst a padi field, the villas portray a feel of a small quite sleepy village. From the gardener, dining staff to the chef to the front desk staff and drivers, all keenly aware of making your a wonderful experience. We fell in love with Bali because of Kamdandalu. We cant wait to return. An amazing journey and much needed place to relax and unwind. I cannot speak more highly of this enchanting place.

Ótimo hotel.Posted Jan 7, 2015 on Hotels.com
O hotel é excelente além de ser muito bonito, na minha opinião é o melhor da cidade. Excelente quarto e serviço no hotel com van para o centro à disposição . Um pouco mas afastado do,centro cerca de 10 minutos, mas achamos melhor para descansar.

Nice Hotel and Even Nicer PeoplePosted Jan 5, 2015
We had a 10 day stay in kamandalu ubud and had a very relaxing time there. The 2 bedroom villa was amazing and the private pool was beautiful. It is a great place to relax and unwind. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Infact the butler arranged a special activity in the local village at our request. Nothing was too much trouble. The couples spa experience is very relaxing albeit a bit expensive. Highly recommended.

Amazing resort in a beautiful valley near UbudPosted Jan 5, 2015
Pros: - Private chalets - Infinity pool - Food - Special events, like traditional dance performances - Yoga classes - Staff
Location: The resort offers organised tours in the morning and afternoon. Ubud centre is only a 10 minute car drive away and there is a free shuttle service.
We had the most amazing time at this resort. It's a short 10 minutes car trip from Ubud centre, but with all the great facilities at the resort (free yoga classes, amazing food, spa, different specials and events organised every night, infinity pool, rice paddy tours, etc.) we found little need to go to Ubud. If you do want to see Ubud and sites nearby there is a free shuttle (about 6 times a day). Staff at this resort is extraordinarily friendly. Room was always clean, serviced twice a day, almost no bugs despite being in the middle of a rainforest valley. We stayed in a chalet with outdoor shower, which also has a private roof terrace, overlooking the roofs of other chalets and the valley.

We were beyond impressed with our stay at the Kamandula! Our villa with the private infinity pool was so stunning! The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious. Couldn't ask for a better experience!

Pros: Pools but the staff who work around them are useless
Cons: Old stale rooms, filthy old bath. Food and drink prices were a rip off. Check in problems despite confirming it via email
Average at best. Would not recommend. Not even close to 5 star. Staff are hopeless. Rooms smell

Will visit againPosted Jan 1, 2015 on Hotels.com
We stayed at the Villa for 2 nights, it was raining those 2 days so we did not have a lot of opportunity to use our private pool. We are very pleased with the service, hotel staffs go all out to accommodate and make us feel comfortable. As we need to head out early, we are particularly appreciative of the in-room breakfast service served to us at our desired time (5.45am). The villa is clean but probably lack of indoor lightings at night. Checking out was abit of a pain point for us, we had to wait 40 minutes to get a taxi. Overall, our stay is enjoyable and we are definitely coming back.

Beautiful resort & friendly staffPosted Dec 30, 2014
Resort is beautiful, staff is friendly & breakfast is good. First time experience to stay next to paddy field. Room are clean but I do not like the hotel combine 2 single beds. Room is clean and design is slightly old. The swimming pool is nice with a bar. I enjoyed so much to swim & drink together!
