Nice hotel but in an odd locationPosted Jul 10, 2014
The hotel it's self is beautiful. Lovely staff. Nice pool. Nice rooms. The location is not great though. It's a bit far from anything and down an unpaved dirt road with lots of pot holes that taxi drivers make a stink about, if they can even find it in the first place. It's next to a field and some local houses which gives it a nice secluded feel, but you will be reliant on someone to drive you to do anything. Especially if you are female, I would not suggest walking back at night. Also the rooms get a lot of Mosquitos some how. I kept everything closed and it was like they'd multiple in a couple hours. The hotel staff will spray when they make your room but it didn't last long enough. They give you a repellent to plug in which also didn't seem to do anything. Overall I had a good experience for the couple nights I stayed but I wouldn't have wanted to stay longer.

Excellent ValuePosted May 24, 2014
Pros: Facilities are good, room is comfortable. Staff try hard to make the stay enjoyable.
Cons: Hotel is isolated from beach and main commercial area, you have to walk a ways on a busy street to get to the beach. Shuttle service or taxi required.
Location: Starbucks about a 5 minute walk; in Legian there is a host of great cafes and restaurants, and all kinds of shops. The beach is great.
I had the upgraded "Pool view room," which was quite comfortable. The staff really try to make your stay enjoyable, and provided shuttle service to the beach each day. If you're willing to take a shuttle into the city or beach area, this hotel can work out quite well. I got a great rate on the room through Expedia.

Pros: Small enough to know all other guests good price away from the maddening crowds.
Location: Not much nearby but only a couple of dollars taxi ride to the action. Interesting to be living with the locals.
Staff could not do enough for us very attentive service. Will go the extra mile to ensure your happy. Shuttle service handy comfy bed.

Great customer service but Wifi didn't work.Posted Nov 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
Kind of remote area hotel next to a run down poor area. It is hard to complain about this hotel because they really try and were understanding when I decided not to stay the eight nights that we booked and paid for. The hotel and hotels.com advertised that the Legian Guest House has WIFI. It technically does but it did not work over a 24 hr. period. I moved around everywhere inside and outside to see if I could get the signal and it was weak and cut out frequently, so much so that it took 10 mins to open a simple email! Also the breakfast was nothing to write home about. Sugar water orange juice, coffee ok, two fried eggs and white bread toast. The service was nice but the breakfast selection was lacking and not much effort on their part. Also the swimming pool was the size of four large bath tubs so don't expect to swim laps. I was disappointed about this because I am wanted to swim daily. The room itself was very large and the air conditioner was not adequate for the size of room. It never really got cool and we felt a little uncomfortable with the humidity. Again, the service is friendly and excellent! It is really hard to complain about this place because it was only US $35. per night for two people with breakfast. They were also good about letting me out of the other seven nights and allowing hotels.com to refund the money I paid for the entire time.

Little GemPosted Jun 15, 2013
Pros: Staff always friendly and very considerate
Cons: Terrible roadway into the hotel, but have been assured that it will be fixed soon
Location: It,s great if you don't mind being a little bit out from the main stretch. Great for travellers who hire motorcycles
Wonderful little place to stay. Staff were very friendly and always accommodating. Hotel is a little way out from the main streets of seminyak but the hotel will shuttle you in up into 5.30pm. Taxi ride back is about 1 to 2 dollars. It,s located in a quiet spot so you can get plenty of relaxation.

Nice staffPosted May 3, 2013
Pros: The staff
Cons: sorrounding area
Location: A bit far from the happening places
The staff are nice, helpful and the it is worth to stay for what you pay. 2-3 km far from the happening place such as Seminyak and Kuta however, can get there by taxi for 3 dollars approx. The place is good if you like a quite environment.
