“If we ever get back we'll stay there again”

Our regular room had a lovely canopy bed and a roomy, private balcony overlooking garden. The hotel is isolated and at the end of a beach area/cove and is quiet and doesn't have so many hawkers bothering you. We visited the Kuta Beach area and thought what a zoo it was. My husband wanted to surf, but there was nothing available to rent. You could bring a board and actually surf there at the hotel, although it isn't known for that. We also snorkled in front of the hotel just outside the surf (from a guy with a boat) and it was lovely too. The hotel grounds, lobby, everything is gorgeous (camera friendly!). We had put breakfasts on our room and that was a good idea--it was cheap that way. The buffet was good for any culture and extensive, with many serving areas so you didn't have lines to wait in. The staff was attentive at all times and lovely people.

“Honeymoon Hotel”

We were on our honeymoon and the hotel went out of their way to make this special. In addition, I think the beach at this hotel was the most beautiful beach in Bali. We had traveled around the island and just fell in love with this beach.

“Very Beautiful Resort!”

This is a beautiful resort on a very quiet beach. I would definitely stay here again. The buffet breakfast was very good. I loved the banana pancakes. The hotel is expensive for lunch and dinner. We ate lunch a couple of times by the pool because we were hungry but never had dinner. The Bali Collection is next door so went there every night for dinner. You won't see many people having dinner there. I think the spa was hurting for customers as they come up to you all the time to get you to book. There are plenty of other spas outside of Nusa Dua. I recommend Tamara Spa. We went 2 times. I would say Melia Bali was nicer than the Westin and other hotels from what I saw walking around.

My husband and me really liked the hotel. We travel a lot, and that was the best hotel we have been stayed. Beautiful hotel inside and outside as well. It's garden is marvolous and huge, our room was nice, clean and very comfortable. The aircondition system was super, because it worked when we were out of the room, no need to use the key for that. There was huge variation of breakfast. ..... one word for this hotel is:excellent!

“Superb Hotel - You must visit!”

We stayed in Melia Bali for 2 weeks and had the most amazing holiday. The hotel was clean, very well run, the staff were very friendly and the service was first class. The hotel facilities are good and there is plenty to do nearby. Whether you are after a relaxing beach holiday or a more active break, this is the perfect hotel in the perfect location. We were able to combine the luxury of this high class hotel, with visits to nearby villages, paddy fields, monkey forest, temples, elephant safari, white water rafting and quad biking. This is the perfect destination for a romantic break where you can do and see as little or as much as you choose. The hotel staff go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. Highly recommended.

“Melia Bali in Nusa Dua region”

all good...the rafting, mountain biking, Manta Point and USS Liberty (booked through Tulumben Diving Shops), Jimbaron for outdoor seafood BBQ, running along the beaches of the hotels, Waterbom Waterpark in Kuta Beach and of course Ground Zero Memorial for the victims of the Niteclub violence in 2002.

“Great Family Hotel”

Great hotel in a lovely location - highly recommended with kids. Breakfast buffet was one of the best I've ever seen. Only downside is the cab charges from the hotel but easy enough to walk out the gate and get a cab out the front for half the price. Fantastic holiday.

“Fantastic hotel”

I spent 12 days at the Melia Bali in Nusa Dua in June 2008, and would recommend the hotel to anyone. Bali is very hot and humid and this large complex is almost uniquely outdoors. The rooms are spacious. I wouldn't worry at all about some complaints regarding damp or air conditioning issues. Bali is so humid that it's basically unavoidable but there is no strong smell or extensive damp. Have no concerns about staying in this hotel what so ever. During the day the cheerful staff will provide entertainment like water polo, aerobics or cultural activities like learning to cook local cuisine. We ate in the hotel nearly every night with the Sateria beach side restauarant our favourite. If you want to venture off complex check out the Bali Collection mall about 5 minutes walk away which has a number of eateries and brand stores (selling items about 50% cheaper than the UK). The breakfast at the hotel is extensive and strongly recommended due to the fact they cater for everyone. All the staff are friendly welcoming and make a real effort to make your stay at the hotel a pleasant experience. The only issue with the hotel was a lack of activities in the evening. There's not an awful lot to do in Nusa Dua at night and nearby Kuta is not going to be everyones cup of tea. Overall, this is a superb value 4 star hotel. If you are planning a long or short stay in Bali, then this is a recommended choice. Don't have any qualms about staying at the Melia Bali.
