nice island kindly peoplePosted Mar 21, 2014
Pros: around very green, nature gut kept, you feel yourself like in paradise garten, hotelstaff very kindly.
Cons: breakfast great offering but not for european people, if you are noct habitude asian food, the same as for food. taste and smell differently
Location: location very central.buying center 'bali collection' nearby, clean and secure but more expensive then in the city. you have to visit the temples .
hotel and its area very green, clean und look like a paradise. but the another part of bali not like so. the rooms are well kept but old. the people but seem overall happy. while your visiting the selling people leave you not quıet, there are great price differences by touristic tours, so that you have to check them first.

Great place for relaxation and unwinding stressPosted Mar 15, 2014
Pros: Swimming pool
Cons: Transportation is costlier stay in Nusa Dua, it will be good to have free shuttle service combined with other hotel in that area
Location: Nothing much basically, it is a place for relaxation and conference since it is very near the the convention centre.
Very pleasant overall experience, right from the moment you step into the hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Great Balinese VibePosted Nov 26, 2013
Pros: The staff are very friendly and genuine - lovely to deal with and nothing was a problem.
Cons: The garden room was a little dark and only had the original air con and a ceiling fan, it could have done with a heat pump for air conditioning.
Location: The Melia is the last resort in a line of resorts, go exploring next door, walk through Bali Bay and around the Nusa Dua area from here easily.
The Melia Bali is a great Hotel, close to the beach and a short walk to the Bali Collection, open air shopping, restaurant mall. It was one of the first in the Nusa Dua area and was constructed in the 70's - leading to some rooms being a little dated but don't let this put you off as a result the gardens etc are well established and beautiful. We started out our stay in a Garden room and decided to upgrade to a Lagoon room half way through. I highly recommend getting a Lagoon room at the outset of booking. These rooms are modern, spacious and have a patio directly onto the lagoon pool with a private seating area. Stunning! Our rate also included the daily breakfast which we looked forward to and really enjoyed. Many different food options there and always the choice of a great table outside overlooking the gardens and ponds. The restaurants within the Melia offer a great selection of meals - both local cusine and also a selection of western foods. We found this to be reasonably priced and excellent quality.

Nice secluded beach, close to Bali CollectionPosted Oct 6, 2013
Pros: The Beach, Pool area and breakfast buffet
Cons: better options for lunch and dinner, less room maintenance, it became a bit annoying.
Location: Own beach, close to Bali Collection, walking distance from the beach side. Not that far from the airport either.
I had a great stay at Melia Bali, I was there to attend a wedding, which from a guest point of view was great but from the host point of view they go the menu wrong and not all the things that got ordered were served, they were switched with something else. Still no one actually noticed anything was amiss besides those that placed the orders :) The room it self was great, I got upgraded to a family room because the one I had booked, a garden view were already taken. I loved the pool and the secured beach area, well taken care off and I could relax and unwind.

No pressurePosted Aug 15, 2013
Pros: Beautiful grounds and friendly staff
Cons: Smoking permitted in outside areas of restaurants, especially at breakfast
Location: Nusa Dua is a secure dedicated zone for resorts and Melia is adjacent to the Bali Collection shopping precinct with its own beach front.
Beautiful setting, friendly ever smiling and welcoming staff. Landscaping superb and grounds beautifully maintained. The Bali style architecture extremely appealing and unique. It was the busiest week of the year and hotel full. In spite of the large number of guests, the staff greeted all with a helpful smile.

A taste of Bali in and around the hotelPosted Jul 12, 2013
Pros: Variety of restaurants, friendliness of staff, the messages written in sand, beautiful garden, superb beach set-up.
Cons: Buffet breakfast felt more like a buffet lunch (very Asian menu)
Location: Felt relaxing and safe in the gated community of Nusa Dua, away from the hassle & bustle, beautiful beach location - golden sand & shallow & clear
Atmosphere felt authentically Balinese, loved the design and layout of the lobby.
