Separate lanais well set up

Posted Oct 16, 2013
Pros: Lanais, staff, food, location. Generally quiet and laid back, not for party animals.
Cons: Room maintenance and beach cleaning- too much plastic.
Location: Hire bikes, snorkelling, diving, Tear Drop lookout spectacular on a windy day, views from Panaroma restaurant, local schools always need help, pens etc
On a relatively quiet beach, good food and friendly staff but VERY tired eg torn towels, leaking taps, sometimes cold showers. One night had a very loud crowd behind the hotel, not one staff member around at 11 pm, so had to quieten them ourselves. The lanai is comfy and well appointed but desperately needs maintenance. Food tasty and reasonably priced. Have stayed 4 times, and the Lembongan roads are much worse.

Lovely accomodation in the best part of Lembongan

Posted Oct 5, 2013
Overall experience was lovely - staff are very friendly, accommodation was located in mushroom bay which is in my option the best part of lembongan because it gets sleepy in the evenings and this is close to the water to watch the sunset and many restaurants. The view at breakfast is amazing! It's easy to take a boat from this location too. Accommodation itself was very authentic and was of traditional Indonesian hut style - don't expect a fancy hotel (this isn't what lembongan is about! If you want this then go to kuta), air conditioning works very well. Being Indonesia, some small bugs get into the room but there wasn't a mosquito issue at all. Beds were comfortable and room was very spacious. Staff are willing to help in any way - snorkelling, hiring a scooter, etc. The hotel itself has it's own snorkeling equipment to borrow and even a two person canoe! Hotel has it's own massage and treatment room for those who fancy that, but don't expect service before 1030/11am. Massages were very good. Better than surrounding places. Overall we were very happy and would reccomend this to others.

Great huts, perfect location

Pros: Ohe accommodation was great! Very clean & beautiful huts. Location was perfect right on the beach. The snorkeling was fantastic!
Cons: The restaurant staff were inattentive p.s could have made more food & drink sales from us if the staff were more attentive.

Daggy but delightful

Posted Jun 25, 2013
Pros: So peaceful and chilled out.
Cons: Bit pricey. Not all bungalows are totally private. Snorkelling tour was poor - frightening ocean swells in tiny boat, guide w no English at all.
Location: Isolated, peaceful, from another time.
Isolated, laid back, slightly daggy and a little bit run down, but a lovely place to spend a week doing not much at all in utter peace. Situated on the local fishing boat anchorage, with a serviceable pool and lounges, pricey but okay food and truly lovely local staff who provided everything from massages to motorbikes, it was the perfect retreat for us. Charming island style bungalows in sandy grounds completed the experience. Shop around for your own guided snorkelling tour, though, and do explore other spots for amazing beaches and better (and much cheaper) food.

Big comfy beds

Nusa Bay is right on Mushroom Bay with lovely views of the bay. The rooms dont have views but they certainly make up for it in every other way. Very clean, large king size beds, fresh linen every day, attentive staff who try very hard to make your stay as memorable as possible.

Quiet and peaceful

This is a great place to go if you want to relax and unwind in peace. Simple huts with no TV but air con is vg. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast was right by the water, watching the boats sailing and people walking by, though huts themselves do not have views. Scooters available to go to other beaches or around the island. Tours good too, as was the snorkelling. Recommend this for a change from the hustle and bustle.
