“Very friendly Hotel with excellent staff”

On our arrival we were greeted at reception with a cold towel and a juice. The only flaw was a mouldy smell when we first arrived in our room (we had a deluxe ground floor room), however, this was not noticed after the first night (maybe the room had not been aired for a while). The deluxe rooms are fairly basic, but the bed was a kingsize and was extremely comfortable. The shower is a bath/shower combination. The deluxe rooms are in the middle of the property so there is no noise from the street. All of the staff (even the gardeners) were super friendly, always wishing us a good morning . They even greeted us by name at breakfast (at the time there were probably 500 guests at the hotel). We had massages in the Samantha Spa, and while there are probably a lot cheaper massage places in Bali, the ambience, cleanliness, privacy and masseurs were excellent. They have a happy hour in the spa between 1 o'clock and 3 o'clock so we managed to have two massages for the price of one (we went three times). The gardens are beautiful, and the pools were well maintained. There is an internet room and wireless internet is also available in the rooms. We had meals in the bar/restaurant behind the lobby and also in the Sands restaurant on the beachfront. The meals are really cheap by Australian standards. The buffet breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially for couples.
