Pros: Lovely Bali style setting, clean pools .
Location: Good location only 400 metres to beach promenade for early morning run/ walk or view sunrise. Plenty of restaurants off pro maned plus local markets.
Loved the natural setting had a great room with balcony overlooking pool. Very friendly staff, great value.

Within walking distance of the busy beach/shopping

Posted May 14, 2014
Pros: Availability, price.
Cons: Wait until renovations are completed.
Location: Nearby shopping, though we didn't stay long enough to really explore it. There are quieter places around Bali.
We arrived on a weekend and the streets to the beach and the beach was inundated with humanity! It wasn't particularly restful, but glad to have experienced it all. Makes one appreciate the quiet of other places.

Excellent service

Posted Apr 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
The staff at this resort are particularly welcoming and helpful. The grounds are private and secluded, offering welcome relief from busy roads and markets. The hotel is 5 minutes from the beach where the boats set off for the island of Lembogan. We had a villa and a deluxe room, as there were 5 adults in our family. Rooms were kept spotless by staff every day and my sons room was changed without problem, when the toilet was leaking in his room. The rooms are spacious and had very comfortable beds and air conditioning . We had a very relaxing spa treatment on site and were completely looked after during the Nyepi holiday. Towels are provided at the pool and extra sunbeds were brought out when more guests arrived. Food was always well presented and catered for Western and Asian taste. To the main road and shops it is a 10 min ride by car. There are taxi stands on the wray to the beach which will negotiate a good rate for any trip. I highly recommend this little paradise!

Calm oasis, close to beach cycleway/footpath

Posted Mar 11, 2014
Pros: Atmosphere (calm, peaceful, slightly faded/aged but with patina rather than decay); Excellent restaurant; Position
Cons: Storage space was a little limited and in the (uncooled) "ensuite" dressing/bathroom: we could have done with a couple of eg robe hooks
Location: Close to beach walk/cyclepath, lots of small stalls for trinkets, clothes etc Sanur town: more shopping, eating etc Hotel spa: lovely!
We found Sanur a lovely introduction to Bali life: not so frantic as Kuta, but certainly not as quiet as we had been led to believe by its unkind nickname of "Snore". The Sri Phala was ideal for us: small and quiet, but well served by its attentive staff. The excellent restaurant offered both local and international cuisine, and our family (2 adults, 2 children aged 13 and 9) were very satisfied with the wide choice, high quality and excellent value on offer. The pool area was kept scrupulously tidy; the gardens were a beautiful haven; the spa was small and quiet, and both adults enjoyed an excellent massage. Our room (garden villa) was large and serviced promptly and attentively. The bathroom itself was clean and tidy, with plenty of hot water; the alfresco drench shower (separate to the over-bath shower) was very refreshing! The staff were universally polite and helpful, from the cleaning staff to the manager. Facilities were all very close by (ATM 2mins walk, small supermarket 3mins walk, beach 5mins walk; Sanur centre 5mins taxi drive, 20,000 IDR) Overall we enjoyed a very relaxed week in Bali.

Poor value for money poor breakfast.

Posted Feb 6, 2014
We arrived to find the place barely resembled the online photos. Our first room was dark and musty overlooking a construction site and had plaster peeling from the walls. This was a 'superior room' We complained and had no option but to pay more and upgrade to another room, this was a better room but cost more and we had to shift again on the second night. The 'buffet breakfast' consisted of 5 chaffing dishes. One with scrambled egg - cold. Bacon- greasy and cold. Nasi Goreng- lukewarm and steamed veg- lukewarm. There was another equally forgettable dish. The staff happily chatted amongst themselves while the empty plates piled up on the tables around us. We used their wifi to search for another hotel and moved to a private bungalow near the beach for less with hot brekkie brought to the room. Better. :)

Friendly hotel .

Pros: Staff and Spacious rooms
Cons: renovation/updating of rooms
Location: a little too far off the beach (if you have to walk with 3 young children) and the more touristic places at Sanur are a little further South
Nice small setup of villas. However a little too far off the beach (if you have to walk with 3 young children) and the more touristic places at Sanur are a little further South. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious but the e.g. airco's etc are getting old. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
