“beautiful retreat”

This hotel was excellent. My husband and I went on our honeymoon to Bali for 9 days and spent 5 at the Taman Harum Cottages. The food is excellent, the lodging is beautiful, and the staff is very kind and inviting. Don't plan any of your excursions ahead of time, arrange them at the hotel itself and you will save a lot of money and they are more private instead of a big tourbus of tourists. Definitely take one day to explore Ubud town on your own, the shops are amazing. everywhere you go the locals are friendly and helpful and usually speak English since they all learn it in school.*Take cash, don't bother with credit cards*

i used the hotel as a base for 3 weeks and to be honest i'm glad i did, not only are the grounds and the surrounds of the hotel beautiful, but the staff are genuinely warm and affectionate and quickly made me feel like an old friend, the hotel tours are also excellent as you pretty much tailor make it with them. The rooms are clean, tidy and comfortable too, and the food great also.

arrived late but welcomed with beautiful cocktail and lovely helpful staff who carried our luggage to equally beautiful air conditioned room.Lovely gardens and pool. Beautiful breakfast and happy smiling faces wherever we walked.Also free shuttle bus to centre of town. Very enjoyable experience.

Perfect place to stay- 1 suburb away from Ubud but that doesn't really matter as there is a shuttle service. Wonderful, warm staff

“Gorgeous and easy stay in a beautiful hotel”

Amazing grounds and super-helpful staff, they all went out of their way to accomodate our every need - the hotel shuttles were like a private taxi service, available whenever you needed them and they also operated outside of the 9am - 10pm operating hours twice to take us to various activities we had planned (including a 6.15am departure). The hotel has a gorgeous and very underused swimming pool, the grounds are green and well kept with flowers and artwork everywhere, free water every day, air-con, hot water, very quiet and relaxing stay. Lots of activites offered by the hotel but no pressure to book - they booked a couple of things for us with other companies when we decided we preffered their programme and the hotel also offers cultural activities like learning how to make a temple offering or a sunrise walk in the rice paddies for around 5 english pounds - both were amazing. Highly reccomend.

“Tranquility in Bali”

Taman Harum is an extremely peaceful, tranquil place. I felt so relaxed when I stepped onto the property. Of course the staff is very friendly, as are all the Balinese. My only complaint is that after it rained my suitcase was completely soaked----evidently the corner of the room isn't rain proof. Don't know of a tactful way to warn your clients of water leaks, but there was a ton of room to put it somewhere else. Oh well. The food at the restaurant is extremely inexpensive and tastes good. We didn't feel the need to go anywhere else to eat. The laundry service is also inexpensive and the service was great. We didn't stay long enough to take advantage of their classes, so I have no recommendation either way on those. The hotel offers free shuttle service and we desperately needed it 2 hrs. before they normally offer it, and they arranged our transport with no grumbling.

“Taman harum cottages,Ubud”

Very nice hotel and the rooms were very authentic in design, we were very happy with the place. Only negative was the distance to Ubud, the reason we chose this place was it's close proximity to the town centre,which I am sure it said was only 5 or 10 mins walk! Alas this was not the case but there was the free shuttle service to get you back and fore. Pool was nice, and the outdoor bathroom was pretty cool. I enjoyed my midnite bath whilst the rain poured down. Would recommend no problem to others.
