“Pleasant Surprise”
Staying at the Laguna Beach Resort and Spa was a pleasant surprise. I was in Jakarta on business and decided to take a mini holiday to Bali to relax and I am so pleased I found a hotel that allowed me to do this. The grounds, the private beach area, the spa and the room service was exceptional. The only downside was the private tour I booked where because I was on my own (woman business traveller), I felt taken advantage and pressured to purchase items in the Batik shop and Art Gallery and then paid and extortionate price at the end for the tour when the majority of the trip was the driving in traffic. Overall, a memorable holiday.
“A very beautiful hotel!”
This is a very beautiful garden hotel. I think I will go back next year!
“Laguna Bali”
Great, quite beach location. Hotel property well kept & very child friendly pool area. Breakfast was fabulous!
“Very Pretty”
The hotel, grounds, pool, and rooms were very exotic and beautiful. The beach was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is off in a row of hotels along the beach so you pretty much need a taxi to go anywhere. The food and everything else was expensive especially by Bali standards along this row of hotels. $15 US for a small bottle of sunscreen, internet was $1 for ten minutes, drinks $5 or more.
“Beauty and Class”
This hotel has everything you can expect from a 5 star hotel! Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful surroundings and the pools were fantastic. The only thing I did not enjoy was the prices of the food and drink which are rediculosly expensive ( in Bali standards ) If you go down the street into Nusa Dua, everything is about 1/3 the cost. But other then that, I strongly recommend this hotel.
“Nice Place”
Pool area is excellent, expecially for young kids.
“Great stay, pity about the happy hour.”
Had a great time at the Laguna. Prices within the hotel were costly (assuming it's the same most places in Nusa Dua though) and we were dissapointed to find that the happy hour in place in the early evenings for drinks and pizzas when friends had stayed recently had ceased. If had been available I'm sure we would have spent more evenings in as would have been easier with small children. Staff very attentive and the grounds beautiful.
“Just the beach, Ma'am!”
Nusa Dua is intentionally a beach haven isolated from Bali and its culture. The Laguna Resort is a beautiful beach resort, but seeing the beauty of Bali and experiencing the people and culture means travel. If you want to "veg out," this may be the place for you. It has swimming pool space galore, nice beach (but trashy water), fairly good restaurants, and great service.
“Floating - physically and mentally”
Laguna - the Luxuary collection. The expression is right on spot. You feel luxuary and there is a hugh lagoon to be used. Even if there is an ocean to swim into - when high tide - the lagoon is one of the biggest and best functioning you ever saw. Really a relaxing and well working area to frequent all day long. The hotel is well equipped and well staffed, (even if we western-stiled persons wonder why the watering of bushes and lawns and flowers did not have descent equipment?) The atmosphere was really friendly and you feel like a VIP-person whoever you are. Even if we found one cochrache in our room, just a few minutes later we got our help in a professional way. Just to underline the helpfulness of the staff. A note in the margin is that the marking of 4.5 stars might have been a 4 instead - prices and charges were a bit too high and not equvivalent with the situation in the country. In summary - a wonderful place to go to relax and especially if you like thrifting along in a big pool - more than one lagoon!
“Better deals possible in Bali”
Expectation was good based on the reviews I read of this hotel but the when entering the hotel the rooms where a outdated. The bed is good but shower getting older and everything looks just that it start needing renovation. The scenery is beautiful but unfortunately when sitting on the beach for dinner life music started with a sound system which was very irritating and bad in quality. This ruined the whole beautiful outdoor diner experience. The hotel is ok but not great and the day after we moved to another hotel 10 minutes further which gives much more class for the same price the Ayana resort which was the Ritz Carlton hotel before.
