“Couldnt recommend it enough”

What a beautiful resort!!! We were so impressed by the payogan villas, including staff. They were so proud of their resort and rightly so. I think it has to be the best resort we have ever stayed at. Our photos of the room looked exactly the same as the brochures. Relaxing in our own private infinity pool overlooking the jungle valley is something I could definately get used to. Enjoying high tea every afternoon ( I have never been anywhere where they do that) was just one of the many little touches the payogan puts on just to add to your experience, the cross every t and dot every i, there is no better way to say it. If you want a relaxing, romantic holiday this is definately a place you need to check out.

Great Hotel, with an amazing scenary. we absolutely loved it. the service was great, very friendly staff, and the pool villa was worth every cent we've put on it. big private pool with a view on the valley, just breathtaking. the breakfast though wasn't the best we had, but very much acceptable.the bungalow was clean with an outside stunning bath it had TV, safe... during the night, we were hearing lizards in the room but that's their kingdom. shouldn't be bothering anyone. and light wasn't enough during the night. the shuttles to Ubud (10minutes away) are very reliable, but the latest one was at 08:30 pm, however taxis from Ubud to hotel are cheap. we definitely recommend this hotel. try to book early to get good prices (we didn't). our only regret is that we stayed there only 4nights.

“Excellent setting in Jungle, spacious rooms”

The Hotel is situated 10 km outside the center of Ubud in a very quiet area. An outstanding view over the jungle is combined with a lush garden and a nicely groomed landscape. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The endless pool allows for a beautiful view over the surroundings. The Hotel offers a free shuttle service to the center of Ubud with trips every 2 hours starting at 10 am and ending at 8 pm. The return trip is 30 minutes later, the last one being at 8:30 pm. The Restaurant offers nice meals, however they are hugely overpriced. You get a much better value for money in town.

Very nice surroundings and views, beautiful garden. Resort is not super new but it's very serene and very typical. Quite close to the center of Ubud as well.

“Beautiful and Fantastic for Honeymooners...not Backpackers!”

The hotel and surrounding area was GORGEOUS. My room was huge with a beautiful balcony overlooking a lush green valley and large windows giving the best views of sunrise. This hotel is an oasis for honeymooners and those looking to get away from the hustle and bustle but I was backpacking through Bali and mistakenly took "historical district of Ubud" to mean at least somewhat central to the town. Not so! It is located about 10 minutes to the north west of Ubud and although there is a shuttle into town every 2 hours starting at 1000, the latest back to the hotel is at 2030, hardly time for a night out on the town without the inconvienence of transport home. That being said. If you're looking for a place to stay and relax, this is it. The grounds are amazing and the pool overlooks it all. I was disappointed that there were only 3 pool loungers...which the staff were only happy to move into the sun but it was a pain. Overall, loved it! But moved into central Ubud as soon as my reservation on my credit card ran out :)

Very nice staff who helped us with our tours etc.. Breakfast remains the same everyday.One day there was no cheese and one day no cocoa was told they would buy it the next day.We stayed for 7 days. The day we checked out and were driving a staff catches up with us 2 km away and gives us another bill they forgot earlier...It was a disaster....Great location and housekeeping.
