Good locationPosted Jan 10, 2014
Location: Quick scooter ride into Seminyak Square.
Villas great - but stairs at front reception were very silppery and dangerous when raining. Helpful staff.

Bang for your buckPosted Jan 10, 2014
Pros: Large pool, large rooms
Cons: Breakfast ok, not brilliant compared with other hotels but lovely nonetheless
Location: A 70c can ride away from seminyak square is worth not being right in the heart as the accommodation is great.

Great place and servicePosted Jan 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed at Kayu Raja over Christmas and were very impressed with the place. From the moment we got there (especially after a long flight) the hospitality was great. Welcome drinks and everything was confirmed in a few moments. We stayed in a two bedroom villa which was spacious and homely. The private bedrooms along with their own ensuites were well looked after and had a his/ her set up. The downstairs lounge was also spacious and looked out to the private pool. A nice big TV was also provided in all rooms with surround sound. The breakfast was also provided every morning with a good variety. Other types of meals were also provided and special requests were taken into consideration. If you wanted restaurant food in your room then this was also catered for at no extra cost. All in all a great place and very close to Potato head, Kut de ta, The Deck and other eateries (10mins walk). A variety of spa's were also present nearby and cab ride to Seminyak square could also be arranged.

Wonderful little secretPosted Jan 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
Villa Kayu Raja was a beautiful hidden retreat from the noisy streets of Seminyak. The gardens are a tropical paradise and the rooms are all three levels so you feel like there is plenty of space and privacy. Unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there so we didn't feel like swimming in the private pool but this didn't take away from the novelty of having one. Location was close enough to Seminyak centre to walk (5-10mins) or catch a taxi for little cost. A beautifully kept set of villas at a very reasonable price. Very different to the numerous ordinary hotels you could choose to stay in while in Seminyak. Highly recommended.

Incredible Rooms!Posted Jan 6, 2014
Pros: Rooms and Staff
Cons: The decoration was a bit tacky.
Location: Very close to everything in Seminyak, there is a good SPA just next door. Go to Potato Head and the W hotel for drinks.
Our villa had its own pool at the bottom level, a living room with cable TV in the middle level and the bedroom in the top level. It was epic. The staff is very friendly and the Canggu Club is a huge plus if you want to work out or get a massage.

Nice service with excellent roomPosted Dec 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
Stayed for 3nights and requested early check-in. Staff is helpful and try the best to arrange. All the needs and requests are fulfilled except late check-out (due to full booking in xmas). Room is quite clean and very large with pool and kitchen. We cooked for two nights and requested cooking pan and cooking oil, responded very fast and efficient. However location will be an issue especially when raining and holiday period, there will be serious traffic jam around every corner nearly. Go out to seminyak square on foot will take you 30-35mins. Overall, I will recommend and will back to stay again.

Great stayPosted Oct 30, 2013
Friendly helpful staff. Nice location. Clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Didn't get a chance to use the tub but looks amazing. Food was always flavoursome n hot. Only downfall was that at night there were a couple mozzies that somehow got in the room (don't know how). Must have mozzie coil in room at night.

good locationPosted Oct 18, 2013
this was good value for money for the price we paid, the villa staff were incredibly helpful and delightful. The room was ok - but not really a place where you would want to hang out for the day; the whole set up with the pool is weird, not good for lounging or suntanning if that's what you are after. Breakfast included was good. We actually got out and about a bit more than we have in the past due to not a great hanging place so that was good too.

Wonderful Hotel with Very Friendly StaffPosted Sep 27, 2013
From the welcome drink through the entire stay everything was nearly perfect. It's in a quiet location with lots of fab restaurants nearby. The staff were amazing, they organised day trips with their own staff for us and also had a very hand shuttle service to other areas. The rooms were great and the pool was lovely and refreshing. Oka, who was our driver for the day on our trip around Bali knew loads about the area, I would highly recommend that you do a day trip with him. If I go back to Bali, I definitely want to stay at Villa Kayu Raja again.
