“Breathtaking and Gorgeous - Exceeded All Expectations!”

I didn't really know what to expect when we booked this on a special rate through Expedia. It looked really nice from the pictures, but I'm the type of person who has that "buyer beware" personality whenever I book a new place on the internet, especially at the rate I got it at. When I got to Villa Sarna, we were greeted at the front steps at a beautiful hand carved door and a mini-waterfall right next to it. However, you have no idea what's behind those doors because the approach to the villa is up a hill and you cannot see into the resort at all until you actually go in. As soon as the mysterious doors opened and I walked up the steps, I felt just like a giddy little kid --- kind of like the scene in 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" when Willy Wonka opened the doors to his magical Chocolate factory...Words can't describe how beautiful this place is...I was not expecting this at all.....the landscaping, greenery, and flowers were amazing -- varieties that I had never seen before....There was an awesomely large hand-carved Buddha statue, peaceful water streams and falls, koi fish, and even more beautiful statues of what it looked to me like gods and goddesses...Walking into our room, we were no less amazed..It was great...Spacious and comfortable...and the bathrooms were all marble, with a huge walk in closet that I could put my whole wardrobe in...Overall, the place was amazing, staff was super nice, and could not have asked for a better experience.

“What a wonderful stay!”

I had an excellent time at Villa Sarna. The staff was great and was able to help me with whatever I needed. It was really cool being away from it all and be at peace with nature. You can't really do that at most hotel resorts, but over here you can. We wanted to go to Ubud village and the shuttle was always there to take us there whenever we wanted for free and pick us up as well! This was key. For what we paid for the room rate at Villa Sarna, we weren't expecting much, but wow did they deliver. .I guess it's because it's a new hotel and they're trying to get the word out...But, I didn't mind :) I got a great deal and had an fantastic time....Will surely go back if we go back to Bali any time soon..I'll cross my fingers and hope the rate is the same !!!

“It is one of the best chalet”

The staff at Villa Sarna are very friendly and extremely helpful. The place is the most relaxing place. We stayed there for four nights we had a wonderful time there. It is about 20 minutes to Ubud, but the driver would drive to Ubud and pick up. The driver is a very good guide. We had booked 2 days with him. He showed us the real life of Bali people. He took us to rice field, volcano mountain, the very special temple that happened to be every 4th Saturday, the wedding and more. We enjoyed our trip to Villa Sarna and we will not hesitate to recommend the place to anyone.

“Fabulous. Very private...your own little oasis!”

This is a great place to stay if you're looking for something more private and out of the way. It's 15 to 20 minutes out of Ubud, but the staff were super at driving you into town whenever you wanted. They would also drop you off at places other than the drop off zone, which worked well with having limited mobility. We had a couple of great tours with one of the drivers. I cannot say enough about the staff....they are fabulous. Whiskey, the retriever, was an added bonus.

“Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff”

Lovely small boutique hotel. A little far from central Ubud, but free shuttle service into town every 2 hours, and upon request, if available. Or about US$5 taxi ride from central Ubud. The staff was extremely professional and friendly. Breakfast is included with the room and delicious (banana pancakes are a must)! The staff woke up extra early to serve us breakfast because we had excursions booked that were picking us up before the kitchen was open. Quiet surroundings, you are in the middle of the jungle. Beautiful and well kept grounds. Wonderful wonderful wonderful experience staying here.

“The friendliest and most beautiful botique hotel we have ever stayed at”

We were there for 10 days for our honeymoon and it was totally perfect. There are more staff than guests. All the staff couldn't do more for you but also respect your privacy. It was like staying with a family that did everything for you - definatey not your average hotel! The grounds are perfect in everyway - it is a very peaceful environment to be in - set amongst the trees with amazing views. Like a Hindu palace with beautiful statues and water features everywhere. Breakfast was good and fresh and made to order. It is 20 mins drive to Ubud centre - but this was never an inconvenience as there is a shuttle. One day we didn't want to wait for the shuttle and it only cost US$5 for a taxi anyway! You will not find better value anywhere near the centre of Ubud - hotels of this quality are more than double (we looked round!) We stayed in the Brahma room which is lovely as it has a balcony and dressing room. If you have small children - get a room with a balcony as the rooms without have 6 foot drops and could be dangerous. Beautiful pool too. Couldn't speak more highly of this fabulous hotel.

“Home away from home in Ubud”

Villa Sarna is nestled among beautiful gardens ten kilometres from Ubud. The villas have gorgeous views out over the palm trees to the hillside beyond. The rooms were large, well appointed, clean & comfortable. Beds & linens were high quality. Delicious breakfasts were served on the balcony. The pool terrace was a great place to relax. Service was excellent with staff there to make your stay very special. Regular shuttle vehicles take guests in to town. A very good restaurant across the valley will deliver lunch & dinner. A birthday cake, complete with candles, was presented to me by smiling staff. The owner took very special care to make our stay most enjoyable. Villa Sarna is a home away from home.

Spent the first half of my honeymoon here with my wife. We had an amazing massage down at the pool deck. The staff are very friendly. There is free wi-fi although the reception is not good in the villas. The rooms are very spacious and there is free cable/satellite TV. Free breakfast is served every morning and it's a good chance to get to know your neighbours. We met people from all around the world there. Had a great stay and would definitely return.

“Luxurious, Relaxing, & Beautiful!”

After my husband and I returned from Villa Sarna, we already wished we were back. This was our third time visiting Bali, and we both agree that this was our favourite trip yet. The rooms and facilities were beautiful. We spent much of our time relaxing by the poolside, which was lovely. To add to the beauty of the resort, the service was amazing. The staff was always very friendly and responsive to any of our requests. We've been telling our friends about how much we loved staying here and are already starting to plan a trip with another couple to come back here next year
