The location is nice, close to the beach. There is a band playing at the ground floor sometimes in the evening till 10 pm. The breakfast and dinner buffet was good. The pool is smaller than thought.,but very nice, usually full of kids playing there. The bed is very disappointing, very uncomfortable : there were two single mattresses on a double bed. The bedsheet was not changed during our stay at all as there was a chocolate stain on it.

Great location close to promenade and beach. Rest lousy ie property condition, staff, customer services and noise level. Not a 4 star property as advertised. A cash cow being milked. Noisy bar keep us awake two nights to 2 am despite numerous complaints to police and front desk. No one seemed to care. DDR Deluxe. Needs massive reno and staff overhaul. Tour bus quality for Berlin seniors. Lousy if one expects a 4-5 star hotel: dirty carpets, slow elevators, peeking paint, missing key cards on check in, room not ready at 3 pm, no towels replaced even those on floor, uncaring staff

2.5 star hotel with 4.5 star price/location, BAD
I rarely write hotel reviews as almost always my experience is what I expect. However this was so bad I am writing my first review for a hotel on here after using this website for years. The biggest problem was the cleanliness, my room looked like it was cleaned 3 weeks before I arrived and wasn't touched until I walked in. Spider webs and dust were in every corner, and of course spiders were everywhere. I stopped counting after I removed the 10th spider from my room. They were coming, mostly, from the patio door, which was left open on arrival, as there were spiders on the patio so if you have any issues with spiders don't come here. There is no AC so if you don't leave the patio door open then the room is hot so its either hot room with few/no spiders or cool room with spiders. I also had towels and sheets with stains, really noticeable stains that if anyone took the time to verify if they were fully cleaned they would not have used them. Finally my last major issue was I did not get the room I paid for. My booking was listed for a room with a french patio and ocean view. I instead got a room with a full patio and a highly obstructed ocean view. Walking around I saw the rooms with the french patio that would have had a much better ocean view than my room which was stuck behind a row of trees blocking the ocean view. This place's only good traits were the breakfast and location, if you stay here be prepared to pay a lot of money for only those two positive things.

Family suite above smokers' tent
We had a family suite with a balcony. The view over the ocean was wonderful, but it was on the first floor right above a smoker's tent (there is no smoking in the hotel proper). On the first night there was some event in the restaurant, maybe a wedding, and the guests went out to the smokers' tent to smoke, drink and shout until 2 in the morning. We had to close the windows for the poisonous fumes and the noise, though there was no A/C on a summer's night. Is it not obvious that a family suite should not be right above a smokers' tent?!

Sub-par 4 star hotel
Great location but the hotel is very dated and the service is "old east Germany". We enjoyed the location on the beach, but were disappointed that this fairly expensive 4 star hotel was not up to expectations. Checking was borderline unfriendly and no information about the hotel or facilities were given until asked specifically about each thing, like wheres is the pool, when is breakfast etc. The room was on the bottom floor facing the parking lot. It was extremely hot with the windows facing south. No AC. Wifi intermittent and very slow when it did work. The room was in need of some TLC. The bathroom was out of soap. The breakfast buffet was very nice. However I was lectured (in German, which I speak)) by one of the personnel for not cutting the cheese correctly ( I could only find a fork, but there was a knife in a water container, that I was supposed to use). The lecture contained word like: How awful this was for other customers to see cheese cut like this. Overall this is a hotel I would not come back to.

Väldigt besviken på senaste vistelsen.
Jag och min fru, minavåra släktingar, mina/ våra vänner, mina arbetskamrater mm har bott på Arkona Strand Hotel ett stort antal gånger. Jag har kört färjor till SassnitZ/ Mukran sedan 1979. Upplevt tider före och efter murens fall. upplevt och följt upprustningen av Kurorten Binz och haft fantastiska vistelser här med oförglömliga minnen. 2017 var vår senaste vistelse. Även den gav fina minnen. 14 till 16/9 2023 var vår senaste vistelse och blir förmodligen den sista på Arkona Strand Hotel. Tyvärr! Service som städning, bäddning, påfyllning av toapapper och handdukar mm existerade inte. Kortläsare till huvudbrytare trasig på ena rummet. Glasdörr till entré har varit trasig sedan april 2023. frukostbuffé som tidigare varit top clas är ett minjne blott. Uppassning vid middag i restaurangen under all kritik på ett hotell med 4 ½ stjärna. Tre personer beställer rött vin. Oöppnad flaska ställs på bordet tillsammans med ett!! glas. Personerna önskar vatten till vinet. Vatten flaska med ett!! glas ställ på bordet. Rummen kostar 3 000:- per styck och natt. För oss är det obegripligt att detta pris inte inkluderar någon som helst service på rummet. Hotellet har varit och är fortfarande ett väldigt fint hotell med ett fantastiskt läge. Det är med sorg i hjärtat jag/ vi konstaterar att det endast är själva hotellet som fortfarande lever. Ägare och i viss mån personal förstör detta fina hotell.

Reinigung der Zimmer ließ zu wünschen übrig, die Freundlichkeit beim Frühstück ebenfalls, das Frühstücksbuffet allerdings war sehr gut und vielseitig. Insgesamt könnte das Hotel über eine Renovierung nachdenken. Für ein 4 Sternehotel kann man mehr erwarten, die Buchungskosten für dieses Hotel sind eindeutig zu teuer.

Nettes Hotel, tolle Lage zum Strand
Ein nettes Hotel in direkter Strandnähe, was ein wirklicher Vorteil ist. Wir hatten Zimmer zur Stadtseite, die natürlich keine so schöne Aussiecht bieten, wie die Zimmer zum Meer. Aus dieser Lage ergibt sich jedoch noch ein weiterer Nachteil: Ab spätem Vormittag bis zum Abend scheint die Sonne direkt auf die Zimmer, die leider weder Jalousien noch Fensterläden zur Abdunklung haben. Wer es also nachts warm im Zimmer mag, ist hier richtig.... ich mag das aber nicht so sehr.... Das Frühstücksbuffet ist gut, aber nicht überragend. Leider auch sehr wuselig, da irgendwie alle Personen wild durcheinander laufen. Ich denke, hier kann eine schlauere Anordnung der Speisen und Getränke Optimierung bringen.

Hotell med bra läge
Trevliga dagar i Binz, andra gången vi var här men första på detta hotell. Mycket bra läge på Strandpromenaden, bra parkering, trevlig bar med utsikt över havet. Vi bodde i ett comfortrum. Obekväma sängar men för övrigt mycket bra inredning i rummet, ingen balkong man kunde sitta på, bara ett smalt utrymme. Duschkabinen var föråldrad och behöver bytas ut, golvet halt och ostadigt i duschkabinen. Fin frukost, men ganska stökigt med mycket folk. Trevlig personal. Telefonen i rummet fingerade inte.

Für eine Nacht - ok. Aber kein Tag länger!
Bevor ich die kritischen Dinge anspreche: wir haben sehr spät gebucht. Unser Reisetag befand sich mitten in den Herbstferien. Rügen war ziemlich ausgebucht - hohe Preise verwundern da nicht. Und das Frühstück war sehr gut, der Service dort war flink und freundlich. Dennoch habe ich mich sehr über das schlechte Preis Leistungsverhältnis geärgert. Das teure Zimmer mit Meerblick war sehr klein und verwohnt. Es wirkte nicht sauber. Die Dosen mit den Cremes im Badezimmer waren angebrochen. Das geht gar nicht. Unser Zimmer war extrem hellhörig, so dass man jedes Wort im Nachbarzimmer gehört hat. Die Vorhänge waren zusammengestückelt: mal zu lang, mal zu kurz, aber immer in einer anderen Farbe. Vor dem Zimmer leuchtete eine helle Strand-Promenadenlampe. Leider ließen die Fenstervorhänge viel Licht durch. Die Matratzen waren breiter als das Bettgestell - der Überhang war unangenehm. Es war keine Nacht zum wohlfühlen. Wir waren kurz davor, abzureisen, aber für eine Nacht… Einen richtigen Urlaub kann ich mir dort überhaupt nicht vorstellen. Dieses Hotel ist von vier Sternen so weit entfernt wie der Mond von der Erde.

Speisen Morgens und Abends sehr gut. Zimmerpreis mit €302 und Strandkorb € 19 völlig überhöht gem. Zustand und Ausrüstung. Personal Reception nicht ausreichen geschult, oder Software nicht Bedienerfreundlich, habe 45 Minuten an der Rezeption zugebracht, weil evtl. Kurtaxe nicht bezahlt, die Dame war kompl. überfordert, jüngere Kollegin konnte dann helfen.

Wir fahren seit mehr als 20 Jahren nach Binz in drei verschiedene immer 4 Sterne Hotels und seit 2002 immer mal wieder ins ARKONA. Außer dem Teppichbelag im Zimmer ist nichts erneuert worden. Es ist alles abgewohnt und total runtergekommen. Es hat keine 4 Sterne verdient, sondern höchstens 1 Stern. Wir werden es niemanden weiter Empfehlen. Das Frühstück war soweit ganz in Ordnung.

Vores værelse var med fin havudsigt, men desværre lige ved siden af skybar som spillede høj musik til kl01 og skulle have service fra restauranten forbi vores værelse. Ikke fedt for et værelse til næsten 1800 pr nat.

Direkt am Strand und Sonne auf dem Dach
Herrlich direkt am wunderbaren Strand von Binz gelegen. Hotel hat die Corona-Maßnahmen sehr gut umgesetzt, so dass "fast" ein normales Urlaubsfeeling möglich war. Oben auf dem Dach ist noch eine perfekte Lounge-Bar, wo man schön in der Sonne chillen sowie die Abendstunden geniessen kann.

Der Ausblick war himmlisch! Das Essen war sehr gut. Leider längere Wartezeiten beim Buffet, wegen der Corona-Einschränkungen. Das Zimmer/Bad hätte sauberer sein können. Ausstattung und Zustand des Bads waren ansich ok, aber die Duschkabine war uralt und undicht. Der Plastikboden war stumpf gescheuert und gab bei jedem Schritt nach - nichts für schwere Leute. Der WC-Deckel war kaputt. Aber wir würden trotzdem wieder kommen, auch weil die Lage top ist und das Personal sehr freundlich.
