Conveniently located just outside Lübeck's north city portal, Burgtor. It's just a few minutes walk into the altstadt with churches, squares, passageways, courtyards, and a variety of beautiful gabled buildings. Loved the breakfast at the hotel and the rainwater shower head. There are a limited number of free outdoor parking spaces which I luckily obtained. Lübeck is wonderful.

Great hitel
Coincidentally had stayed here before several years ago but didn’t realise till arrived, and room was great, location perfect, ate in the restaurant which has great and handy and luckily we had prebooked as it was busy. Would recommend and stay here again

Isabelle at the front desk could not have been more welcoming. The room was perfect and the breakfast was exceptional. So easy to walk to the Old Town. Also an excellent family-owned Italian restaurant across the street.

Ridiculous that you can't take the stairs
This hotel is conveniently located just outside the city walls. Our room was decently sized for a European city. It was nicely decorated and had functional AC. We chose the place in part for the pool, but it was even more chaotic than usual bc the desk was giving away beach balls. The floor was also subway tile--horribly slippery. Some of the windows created weird privacy issues too. Breakfast had quite a bit of variety, but good luck getting there or to the pool because of the elevator situation. There were only 2 tiny ones for the whole hotel, and the stairs were for emergencies only. COVID concerns further limit people's willingness to share a tight space with a stranger, so the lines for elevators were horrible. If you have issues with claustrophobia or similar, beware that you might feel trapped on your floor. Maybe this will clear up once they have their remodeling done, but it seems generally silly that the stairs aren't currently open for anyone willing to take them.

We would like to clarify that you can in fact use our stairs 10 metres left from the elevators (the door next to the bar). They take you to all floors and are definitely a quicker option when the elevators are busy. The other 3 stairs (we have 4 in total) are only to be used in emergencies, because they lead outside of the hotel, so you would find yourself in our courtyard or in front of the house. We are sorry to hear that a misunderstanding lead to a negative review. Please always feel free to speak to our receptionists, they are there for you 24/7 and could have clarified this for you. Nice hotel next to Altstadt. Very friendly service. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool. If you are into indian food, try Maj Mahal nearby.

Nice hotel perfectly located to explore Lubeck
Nice breakfast, The hotel was perfectly situated and the hotel rooms were nice and clean, The beds were a bit hard, though. The sauna was only open in the afternoon /evening.

Overall good
The location was great, right next to the old town entrance and the staff were friendly and helpful! The hotel itself was a bit dated and infrastructure could use some maintenance. Overall a good place for the money.

This hotel is perfect for a visit to the Old Town of Luebeck, it is so close. The hotel was clean and bright, the restaurant and bar area were inviting and the breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful too.

Walking distance to Lübeck downtown
While the overall appearance of the hotel is quite nice, I wasn't happy with the staff. I tried to shorten my 5-day stay by a day and even though Expedia said it wouldn't be a problem, the hotel did not allow me to do that without still paying for the last night. I tried to talk in person to a lady at the front desk, she was very slow and not really friendly. Only after pushing her, she walked next door to talk to her reservation manager. Also I asked for a wake up call. The call actually happened an hour early, which only interrupted my short night. Breakfast is expensive and my omelet was burned. The fitness room is in the basement and there are only 2 treadmills. Not very inviting. The indoor pool looked much more inviting.

Very practical and comfortable hotel.
Excellent service but daily cleaning service could use some improvements. I am spending 100+ days in hotels every year and expect drinking glasses to be replaced with clean ones and floor to be vacuumed.
