Very disappointed had multiple problems.

Upon our arrival we were given the key to an already occupied room. Went back down to lobby and were given another room. When I turned down the covers to get in bed there were several bright red blood stains on the fitted sheet. I called front desk and had to wait almost 45 minutes for them to come move us to another room. They did upgrade us from a room with two double beds to a junior suite with two double beds and gave us two complimentary breakfasts. The wedding party next door kept us up all night with their drunken party. The food at the restaurant is horrible and made me ill. That night when we returned to our room, three of the plastic bags we used to pack some of our belongings in the suitcase to keep them neat and protected had been thrown away by the housekeeping staff. They had been left in the top of our suitcases on the dresser. One was a zippered garment bag. When I called the desk to tell them what happened and to ask to be compensated for them going through our belongings and discarding them, I was told that they could not refund any of my money because I booked my stay through Expedia. I was told that there was not a general manager on site and gave them my information for one to call me the following day. I never received a call. We had stayed there several times in the past with no problems and expected better from them. I am very disappointed because our previous stays had been very pleasant.

Excellent Choice

Location: I actually went to a concert at the Howard Theater in Washington, DC. Very nice upscale place with seating at tables. The food there is excellent.
I chose Double Tree by Hiltion as a part of my finance's Birthday Celebration. I love the location. It was quaint and cozy. Although we had a late check in, the staff was pleasant, courteous and professional. I would recommend this hotel and will stay there again. For the accommodations, the cost was quite reasonable.

Enjoyed the stay. Friendly staff. Dissapointed about not having a microwave in room and staff never delivered extra pillows as promised.

Nice staff older hotel

This was my first stay at the hotel. The staff was nice and pleasant. The hotel is older and could use some cleaning to the lobby carpet and rooms. The staff keeps the hotel clean, but the hotel was on the dark and gloomy side.

I've stayed at this hotel about five times already. The rooms are clean, and the staff is courteous. The only problem I had on this trip was that there was a party or something going on in the courtyard below my room, and the noise late at night kept me awake. Upon checkout, I mentioned this to the staff, and they apologized, explaining they had to send security to the courtyard several times to tell them to keep the noise down. They also gave me a couple of their awesome chocolate chip/nut cookies for my troubles. I should also mention the breakfast buffet. It is not free -- it costs $9.99 -- but there is a good selection, and the staff is very helpful and courteous.

We Arrived a little later than expected but the staff were very helpful in checking us in also informed us of the surrounding events in the area. ..Very Professional and Courteous. ..We Love. The Double Tree. .Thanks For Being There For My Family. ...Our Reunion Was Awesome. ..
