Bad Weekend for Embassy Suites Inner Harbor!

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: That the staff was well trained and tried as much as they could to accommodate with what they had.
Cons: Basically everything.
Location: Location was great. Didn't have the opportunity to explore the surroundings.
In their defense they were literally packed (as in not one spare room so they couldn't move us) Must have been 100 wedding booked there! I don't think they ever really anticipated LITERALLY being SOLD OUT! I booked a room w/ two Queen beds and got a room w/ One King and a pull-out chair. Really bad for the people I was with; my 85 year old aunt and my brother who has a delicate, physical head condition which was why I was very specific. The room was freezing! The temperature is on Automatic but the problem is automatic for who? Tried raising it, called downstairs several times (immediate responses) but no resolve. Eventually got more comforters which helped but by then it was the middle of the night and we had to get up only 3 hours later. Staff was kind and courteous and that was not my normal experience w/E-Suites but this one sucked! Couldn't get an elevator for abt 10 mins. We were leaving but other folk were trying to rush down for breakfast. It was just an overall mess. Again staff did their best but... Heard others complaining (I think they were part of a wedding party) sand I suspect not as patient as I was

good place to stay

Posted Jun 29, 2015
good size room, was quiet both nights we stayed. The night shift manager was very helpful and friendly, our room wasnt quite ready for check in so he gave us a voucher for a couple of free drinks at the bar, literally about 5 minutes later he was calling that our room was ready so we just used the voucher for a couple of cocktails with our dinner at the hotel. Its about a 20 minute walk to inner harbor and camden yards from this hotel. Enjoyed the hotel breakfast buffet. You can self park in the garage right next door or do valet parking if you prefer. I would stay here again.

Excellent hotel close to Inner Harbor

Posted Jun 28, 2015
Excellent experience. Hotel staff made this stay very pleasant. Jessikah is awesome! Breakfast is delicious, room (deluxe suite 26 floor) very comfortable, pool, open bar (even juice and sodas for us that don't drink), and with a nice view. The carpet was the only thing I think it should be deep cleaned or changed (some stains). Overall, I will definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying here in the future.

Good location

Posted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: Location was good and the happy hour with snacks.
Cons: Room make-up service
Two of the three days we were at the hotel our room make-up was not good. The first morning we were there, we got only a partial room make-up and received only one towel for two people. The second morning we were there we received no room make-up at all - we returned in the evening to a bed unmade and no clean towels at all.

Great staff, no hot water.

Posted Jun 27, 2015
The staff was very helpful. Price was reasonable. Walking distance of inner harbor. Nice valets. Lots of options for breakfast. BUT no hot water. Many times there was no hot water or lukewarm water. Starbucks in hotel was convenient, but staff was poor.

Business Trip

Posted Jun 20, 2015
Pros: Breakfast. Happy hour was good except the snacks. Coleslaw, meat slices and cheese. Weird... how does coleslaw even fit into a happy hour ?!
Cons: The breakfast are needs to be rearranged. Move some cold items away from omelette station. I just wanted an english muffin but too hard to get to
Location: Fairly close to most things.
I came for a business trip and had a wonderful room with a great view. Only problem- no hot water. I discovered this when I was about to take a shower to go to a meeting. Ended up calling front desk who sent the maintenance tech, arrived 15 minutes later. He said he reset the hot water and now it should be working " too many people"- luke warm only. That afternoon, called front desk because still no hot water. We will send up maintenance- waited 45 minutes, nobody came. The next morning, no hot water. Called front desk to find out who the manager was and to ask for maintenance. "they will be right up." They never showed- I took cold shower 15 minutes later so I could get to work on time. Stopped in briefly to talk to Tiffany (manager) who said I could switch rooms and she would adjust my rate. Ended up in new (much smaller) room with a view to a brick wall- but I had hot water! Got my bill the next morning and there was no adjustment. Went downstairs to talk with Tiffany who had no recollection ( I get it! but still...fake it at least) about our conversation regarding the water, room change, etc... She then said " I will take off a night- will that be good?" Yes, thank you. Of course, I would have preferred a little more negotiation but I was just so ready to get out of there. It was hot in hotel, crowded, etc... Just let me leave. Worst Embassy Suites experience ever! Tiffany at least was friendly and said all the right 'management' type lingo- kuddos to her

It was an ok hotel - rate would be 2.5- 3

Posted Jun 18, 2015
Pros: Parking was right next door to hotel. Very convenient.
When we arrived our rooms were not available. Very disappointing as it was 4:30 in the afternoon and front desk didn't seem too concerned that we needed to change for our meeting. We were on the road since 4:30 AM. My colleague, had no not water and her room was at a slant. She had to place books under TV to view properly. Manager was not very accommodating and volunteered to change her room, but it was 6:30 AM and our first meeting was at 7:00. Needless to say she showered in cold water. We feel that a refund or credit to our account is warranted. It seems that this hotel is not well prepared for business guests and I would not stay here again,
