Great hotel

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Pros: Room, service, breakfast
Cons: N/A
Location: Quick walk to nearby restaurants, bars, clubs.
Great stay. Upon check in the clerk was very helpful and gave us upgrades and late checkout due to us missing the complimentary social hour w/ free drinks. Room almost looked like a small apartment, dining area, small living room w/ couch and TV and a separate bedroom. Breakfast in the morning was a huge buffet w/ bacon, eggs, sausage, potatoes and an omelette bar. It was pretty crowded but there was plenty of space and the service personnel were quick and polite in clearly tables.

Nice Hotel But I Expected More

Posted Aug 25, 2014
The staff is what makes your stay joyful. The description of the hotel is not accurate. I stayed in a king size suite. I expected a more modern dwelling. The comfort of the bed was excellent. There was stains throughout the carpet of the suite I stayed in which was basically an apartment. It was a nice size. However, the bathroom was small. There was no stove. A tiny refrigerator and a small microwave. Breakfast was nice. Once again the staff is what makes the hotel.

Not what I expected

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Unfortunately, very little.
Cons: Likely nothing without a significant renovation project.
The rooms are shabby... not horrible but definitely not what is presented on-line. We expected a more upscale accomodation. Unfortunately, along with just being old and run down, our room had a distinct smell we associated with cat urine. The furnishings were old and the walls had a lot of marks. The doors looked like they'd been painted a hundred times and still were very banged up. The bathroom was small and distinctly unimpressive, which is in contrast to the beautiful bathroom they showed on the website. The parking situation was not to our liking and actually getting to the hotel was difficult as the roads around the hotel were hard to navigate. We tried to find another hotel but unfortunately all the good ones were booked so we muddled through. We spent $700 for two days at this hotel (including room service). Not a bargain.

Dear guest- Thank you for providing us with your observations. Our hotel is not perfect by any means, but we have worked very hard to refresh the guest rooms, public space, and added a brand new restaurant and Starbucks cafe. As a matter of fact, our hotel at one time was an apartment building which made way for our spacious guest rooms, in-room kitchenettes, and comfortable living space. Many of our previous guests praise our spacious and pristine hotel accommodations on travel review sites. The photos on our website accurately reflect the inventory available at our hotel, and never intend on exaggerating our accommodations.

Not very clean

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Had to be moved to new room because of mold & dirty sheets. The curtains and carpet had a lot of stains & floors looked like they hadn't been vacuumed well. New room was better but still not worth what we paid. Bathrooms are tiny with little counter space. Living area has an awkward layout.

Please be assured that we value every one of our guests, and do everything to make sure their stay is as enjoyable as possible. It seems we fell short in delivering this basic promise to you, and for that we sincerely apologize. Please be assured that our guest rooms are thoroughly cleaned each and every day, and hope you will give us another opportunity to regain your confidence in us.

Fantastic buffet, historic hotel near Inner Harbor

Posted Aug 13, 2014
The hotel was about 5 blocks from the Inner Harbor. We didn't feel safe walking in the evening, so we drove to the Aquarium area and parked there. Parking garage right next door to the hotel with discounted weekend rate ($5 a day.) Old building with small, slow elevators. Hallways narrow and gloomy. Decor is kind of dark. No bathroom fan and the door was hard to close. We reserved a suite for 4 but were only given towels and pillows for 2 people. More were brought soon upon request. The king bed was kind of hard, although the kids said the sofa bed was comfortable. BUT... Rooms were big for that kind of old building (we had a king suite). The A/C worked well, everything was clean and in working order (at least, the fridge was. We didn't use the TV, coffeemaker or microwave.) The hotel was PACKED with conference attendees and the staff did an amazing job taking care of everyone. Breakfast buffet was never-ending and constantly replenished: coffee, juice, cereal, pastries, bagels. waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon, oatmeal and custom omelette station. The bar area is nice and the bartender friendly. Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries provided (nice!)

Great hotel for Otakon

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: I like that the hotel was just a few blocks away from the Baltimore Convention Center. It's very close to the harbor and things to do.
Cons: I wish that the hotel had parking. Paying 48 dollars for two nights for parking in the garage next door kind of sucks.
Location: The aquarium is very close, the baltimore harbor, hard rock cafe, there's a giant bookstore, the baltimore convention center, the ball park.
I had a really great experience staying at this hotel. The staff was really friendly even though they were full of people for the anime convention. The complimentary breakfast had a lot of good options. They even had a made to order omelet station. The room was really nice and clean upon arrival and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the room I booked (1 queen bed with 1 pull out sofa bed) came with a mini kitchen.

Pleasant hotel that will meet your every need.

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: Great breakfast. Two rooms were nice. T.V.s were up to date. Cheerful. Elevators were speedy. Evening snack was good. Nice pool and gym.
Cons: The hotel and furnishings appeared old. Need more king sized beds.
Location: Good location
Although the hotel and the furnishings appeared a little old, the stay was pleasant. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly. In every situation that you interfaced with staff, they were friendly and helpful. The evening snack was pleasant. But breakfast was a party. Everyone was friendly and helpful. And everything you could want for breakfast was there. The room was the two room type. It had kitchen, dining area, living room and bedroom. It was very pleasant.
