Not comfortable with location

Posted Jun 1, 2015
Pros: centrally located
Cons: Be aware of location downtown near a bus stop at the entrance. Also be aware of parking situation.
The room was just a room in the middle of downtown Baltimore. Even though it was close to attractions it was in the middle of a bus stop and there are a lot of people around the location when you go in and out. In short is is not the best part of town. I was not aware of the area but if I was I wouldn't have stay here. We had two nights booked and we didn't stay the 2nd night. The breakfast was normal but you had to go to the basement to get it. Also be aware that it cost 15.00 a day to park in the garage that is not very close. If you do stay park in front check in with luggage and then park. The room was ok but seemed small. The lobby is small.

Spend the money to stay elsewhere

Posted May 17, 2015
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Everything.
Location: Convenient to Walgreens and Burger King. Parking nearby. Nice parks.
This place is a dump. The inside is nicer than the outside, but all they have going for them is the price. I called a few days ahead to ask if the elevator was working and was told, yes it is. When I got there, it was not working. I was told it had been working but now they are working on it again. Right. So they switched my original 6th floor room to a 5th floor room. Five flights of stairs with luggage. Room was a decent size but old and outdated. The desk chair was jammed so hard under the desk that I couldn't pull it out to sit. The bed was okay. Mini fridge and coffee maker were ok except that the coffee maker didn't really accommodate the cups they provided for it. I called the front desk in the morning to reconfirm which floor the breakfast room was on and the phone just kept ringing. No answer after about 15 rings. There is no real hotel security. Anyone can walk in and go upstairs to the guest rooms. I had people knocking on my door, twice, at 1:00 in the morning looking for people. They had the wrong room. Next time, I will stay somewhere else.

I did not like having to use the stairs the entire time we stayed. The elevator was out so up and down the stairs was hard for me because I have knee and back problems. Didn't realize the bus stop was in front of the building so between people and traffic it was noisy. small space but loved the updated bathroom. It was hot until I realized the central area was not central had to run both the window ac and the central air system at the same time.

Great Service

Pros: The staff
Cons: The room and/or rooms need updating. Mainly the shower and bedding.
Location: I was in Baltimore to take an exam so did not get to take the opportunity to do any sight seeing. The hotel is located where you can find anything.
Your staff make up for any shortcomings of the hotel. The bedding was very old/overused and needs to be replaced. The bathroom sink was dirty underneath and the shower was very difficult to manage because it needs to be replaced. However, your staff is outstanding and I would easily stay there again due to the fantastic front desk staff. For management do what you can to keep them!

OK for the price

Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: Hotel needs updating. All amenities in the room worked ok but some were a little tired.
Location: Good location in Downtown. Easy walk to the harbour and Charm buses.
Hotel was nothing fancy. The decor is dated and tired in places. Good location close to the harbour and Downtown. All staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we were on the 7th floor and the elevator was not functioning during our stay.

I would not recommend this hotel based on the condition of the room, carpet, towels and linens. Nothing was clean.
