“Impressed”

Staying at the Extended Stay Deluxe Columbia was excellent. I highly recommend it. Staff was excellent and very supportive/helpful.

Went to concert at Merriweather and needed a hotel. The hotel was affordable and simply fine. No frills but also not anything special. Being an extended location, the additional kitchenette/living room was nice and would have been useful if splitting reservation between more than a few people with a fold out bed in the extra room.

Overall, the room wasn't dirty, but not appealing, The towels were thin and rough. Cheap small soaps provided, no clean towels except in exchange for dirty ones at the front desk. Continental breakfast very poor--no juice at all, no cereal, just poor quality bagels and muffins, coffee and tea. Fridge only "cool." Freezer not working. Sheets clean, but blanket looked soiled in places. Bed was comfortable, although only 2 pillows on bed, no more in room. Closet door was almost impossible to open and close. On the positive side, the staff was extremely pleasant and agreeable. And, the parking was good, and the exterior of the building looked good. And, it was quiet--no noise at all from other rooms or hallway. It was only rated at 2 1/2, but this may be too high overall. I would rate it lower and think the price was too high for the overall quality.

Difficult to locate, Expedia directions wrong at last turning. Motel shop worn with shabby looking residents. variety of restaurants around. Comfortable and quiet. Desk clerk very congenial and helpful.

Terrible hotel chain. It does unfortunately have a niche of people that it appeals to in 2010. Dingy towels, nonfunctioning TV, room smelled like smoke, dirty tub.... I pray I never have to live/stay in such conditions -- stay across the street at the Marriott Courtyard for only 20 more dollars !!!!

“hate it”

Had very noise family right above me; tried to call front desk in the middle of the night to act on it - nobody picked up the phone. Dirty towels and bathrooms.

“Would NEVER go back, not even enough water pressure to take a shower. Do not recomend”

This place bites, for lack of a beter word.............

“MONEY PIT”

The place was in shambles, huge dryer's because of a flood, the room was horrible, sheets dirty and when I asked for directions in the morning for breakfast the front desk just pointed in a direction and that was it. I would never stay there again. I went to a near by hotel for directions and they gave me a map, wrote out were I needed to go and offered addtional assistance.

The first room I stayed in was in desperate need of renovation. Everything had stains: the carpet, shower curtain, bedding... There was a dead beatle on the floor. The pillow was extremely poor quality, as were the sheets. The last straw was having ants crawling on me while I was in the shower. I asked to change rooms. The staff was extremely apologetic, indicated that they never had ant problems before, and upgraded me to a king room. The king room was much nicer (relatively speaking), was generally bigger and in better condition. The pillows were nicer, but still the same crappy sheets. When I took a shower, I could see a bunch of mold building up under the knob -- gross! For the money I paid, I could have spent a little bit extra and stayed at a quality place. Or, I could have stayed in one of Jessup's roach motels for 50% less. It would have been the same quality. I would only recommend this hotel to your worse enemies. It is really unfortunate because the location is great and the staff were extremely friendly. If the hotel spent the money to renovate the rooms and upgrade the amenities, this could actually be a nice hotel.
