Good for the MD Renaissance FairePosted Sep 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
Our real reason for being in the area was the MD Renaissance Faire. It's a great hotel for that purpose, as the faire is about 20 minutes away. The mall is super close (about 15 mintues away), all kinds of good restaurants and shopping strips are right along the hotel's road. I don't think this is a hot spot for fun, though. The outdoor pool was clean and not busy, and we were there Labor Day weekend. Also, the breakfast was hot and tasted good, and the eating area was not crowded. You're not going to find the place empty at five minutes to ten, when breakfast is wrapping up, as most people want to sleep in. We'd rather get up early instead of fight for a crumb or table space, so we went down to breakfast at 7:30 each day, and never found the place to be a mess or crowded. Our room was clean, no issues with the toilet or shower. We didn't use the gym, but we poked our heads in and saw that the equipment looked new; they have a TV and water with cups also. Our room TV had very few channels, but more sports channels than you could shake a stick at. So if you REALLY need to watch that baseball game from 1972, chances are you can...want to watch anything other than the major networks (which you wouldn't need cable for anyway), good luck trying to find anything good--we ended up watching cartoons and infomercials. Again, this FI's meant for sleeping, early breakfast, and to have a clean place overall--go up and down the block for shopping, regular food, or to have fun.

Handy to Washington without breaking the budgetPosted Jul 20, 2013
Pros: The hot breakfast with lots of choices.
Cons: It is perfectly fine for a moderately priced hotel.
Location: A suburban hotel, close to shopping. A reasonably good Italian restaurant, C.JH. Ferrari's, is about 1/2 mile north of the hotel.
Convenient to the interstates, nearby shopping and restaurants, hotel was neat and clean.

Was told that they were over sold for both nights. We were checking in early on a prepaid account. They wanted to send us down the road. we refused. We did not get adjoining rooms.
