A comfortable week.Posted Feb 20, 2014
Pros: The room was spacious and comfortable, spotless, and welll stocked. Housekeeping was done in a manner that was unobtrusive.
Cons: Cheaper parking would be nice, but this hotel is in the middle of a city and that is something you just have to deal with.
Location: Great location with lots of restaurants, clubs, museums, and other things such as the "Little Italy" neighborhood filled with local food places.
I just returned from a week in Baltimore staying at the Homewood Suites Inner Harbor Hotel. Even though I arrived late at night after a horrible and long day of travel they were quite welcoming and helped me with several things I am not accustomed to at most places. Throughout the week they afforded me many courtesies not usual and agreed to my every request with speed and courtesy. The desk staff, bellmen, and others were very helpful and courteous with a lot of knowledge of the local area and Baltimore at large which made it easy for me to see some sights in the few hours of spare time I had from the conference I was there to attend.

Very comfortablePosted Nov 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room was very nice, better than many I've stayed in, and the staff was courteous and accommodating. Housekeeping was fine. The free breakfast varied in menu from day to day, and the food was quite good quality as steamer-table food goes. There was a good variety of dishes (eggs, meats, potatoes, pancakes/waffles/...). One thing to bear in mind is the noise factor. The rooms are particularly attractive to families with young children, and young children can be a bit noisy. Also, the front of the hotel faces toward the inner harbor piers, a major tourist attraction. There is sometimes live music there -- a reggae band seemed to be auditioning lead singers one night -- and sound (whether in tune or not) carries over water. If you're a light sleeper, you might request a room facing away from the harbor.

Pros: The complementary breakfast
The room would have been perfect were it not for very loud rock music coming from some nearby venue until about 1:30 am.

Cons: If you know a room is not suitable for someone to stay in, inform the customer.
Based on the online reviews, I decided to book this hotel. The hotel staff and valet were friendly once we checked-in. The problem with our stay occurred once we entered our room. Despite being a non-smoking hotel, once we entered the hotel room we were overwhelmed with the smell of cigarette smoke. There was a smoke fan running and the windows were opened to air out the room. There was in astray in the room as well. Clearly, someone had smoked in the room. When we called the front desk to notify them we were not satisfied with the room, we were told that they would provide us a different room. Even though we paid for a king suite, our only choice was to either cancel the reservation without a refund, or take a double room for the same rate. There was no apology for the inconvenience. While we were waiting for someone to bring us a key to a different room, a startled housekeeper entered the room. She was in shock that they allowed people to stay in a room that was still be aired out.Despite the condition of the room, the hotel management somehow believe it was still suitable for people to stay in it. After waiting for 20 minutes, the supervisor came to our room to inspect the room. She offered to give us a voucher to restaurant inside the hotel as well as gift card to a movie theater. The voucher to the restaurant came in handy since it was late and we had to cancel our original reservation at a different restaurant.

Perfect Family HotelPosted Nov 4, 2013
Pros: Location, Staff, Layout
Location: Aquarium, Inner Harbor, Port Discovery
My family and I just completed our stay at this Hotel and can say Hilton is doing something very right! The staff, the layout, the location, all perfect for a family with small children weekend trip. Starting with the location, the Hotel is easy walking distance to all of the major area attractions. We parked our car using the valet parking service and then walked with our two children, aged 2 and 4, to all of the inner harbor sights. The hotel was close enough to return for afternoon snacks and naps, and then back out for more fun. The staff could not have been more accommodative or friendlier. I am actually writing a letter to Hilton corporate to commend them on their employee/management selection and training process. I have traveled quite a bit, and can say this is by far the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. The hotel facility is ideally suited to family travel. The rooms are spacious with a comfortable décor and layout for families with children. Overall, an excellent stay, thank you!
