“safe secure stay”
The staff were very cordial and accomadating. The hotel gave a very secure and safe feeling for being in a city, and the under hotel garage made us feel very safe about our vehicle.
“Hopkins Inn”
The staff was very pleasant and accommodating, however, the room was extremely dusty. the blinds, the coffee pot and other items looked as if they had not been dusted for months. Also, the shower was dirty but they came and cleaned it for us. the price is very good, noise level good, beds comfortable and many eating places nearby.
“clean but noisy!”
Not bad for what you pay. My room was surprisingly comfortable, and the bathroom seemed to be recently updated. But my first floor room shared a wall with the lobby and had tons of noise from the street. Earplugs didn't even work. If you stay here, insist on a room above the ground floor..! Also, if you want a tv without static on every channel or sheets on your bed when you arrive (at 10pm), you might want to spend the extra money and book elsewhere.
“No elevator”
This Inn does not have an elevator or blow dryer in rooms or extra remote controls for the TV. If you cobntact the front desk (first you have to find the number) with a concern, don't expect a call back. Very convenient to Wolman and McCoy Halls.
“You can't get much closer to Hopkins”
For a change, we decided to stay for Parent's Weekend close to Johns Hopkins University. Having grown accustomed to staying in downtown Baltimore or outside of its beltway, we went for convenience. Once we parked the rental car, we never saw it again until we were off to the airport to return home. The Hopkins Inn is unpretentious from the outside, could benefit from some serious updating on the inside, but can boast two important features: very comfortable beds and very quiet (on the side not facing St. Paul Street) despite the fact that its upper two floors are used as a dormitory.
“not clean food”
I kind of had a tummy on the other day after I had the breakfast provided by Hopkins Inn. I supposed the food are not that clean.
“Not bad for the price”
Cheap way to go see an O's game, especially when all the place around the park are sold out or real expensive. Cab ride cost about $12 each way, and you can park across from the hotel for $25.
“Ok for the price”
This hotel is great for a short stay. It was only 4 miles from Inner Harbor (the street goes directly into downtown) and was perfect for the cheap price. I won't go into too many details but there were several hairs in the bathroom in numerous places. But again the price and location was right. Hope this helps.
“Go if you just need a place to hang your hat.”
We went to see the Red Sox play the Orioles. Personally I would have planned better and stayed closer to Camden Yards. The hotels around the Harbor are nicer, but pricier also. This hotel seemed to be close to the shady side of town. Would stay somewhere else next time.
“Reasonable priced place to stay”
Clean and pleasant place to spend the night in a nice, quiet neighborhood, close to JHU.
