My family and I have stayed at other Kimpton properties before, however the Kimpton Monaco Towers Baltimore was not what we expected at all. The location is not at Inner Harbor although the description would suggest it is. We were booked for 8 nights. Due to flights delays we arrived around midnight for check in. With a family of 6 traveling with 2 smaller kids under 4, we were surprised that there were no staff to greet us and the entrance is closed at that time and only accessible with a key pass. After waiting for a few minutes in the cold with our tired kids, finally someone arrived to let us into the building. We were told there was no valet available at that time and to park across the street. Later the next day, the valet staff advised that we should not have parked the car where it was left because of the type of vehicle and the area was not considered safe. We left the next day to visit friends in another state and were away for 2 days. We were most surprised when we returned to find that the room had not been cleaned and food containers that we had left 2 days before, were still in the room. No beds made, no towels although the reservation indicated 6 guests. Issues like this continued for the remainder of the trip. The rooms are in desperate need of a refresh as mattresses are slumped in the middle and uncomfortable, and furniture is visibly worn and in need of change out. Body wash container was near empty and we had to request replacement. Do not stay here.
