Ban Chan Vacations
Ban Chan is located approximately 290 miles (467 kilometers) from Bangkok, the capital of Thailand.
This part of Thailand is a firm fixture on the tourist trail. To understand why, take a trip to the other towns and tourist attractions surrounding Ban Chan. Kumphawapi, 19 miles (31 kilometers) to the northwest, and Pa Kho, 20 miles (32 kilometers) to the northwest of Ban Chan are also worth checking out.
The food enjoyed by locals is an important part of any area and a wonderful way to get a feel for an area. Two regional specialties to order are tom saep (hot and sour meat soup) are koi pla (spicy raw fish salad). Northeast Thailand is a terrific non-alcoholic drink to have no matter the time.
Sometimes the difference between being a smart traveler and a tourist is an understanding of the local language, so be sure to learn a number of useful Thai words before you leave. "Yàak dtên ram măi?" is useful. In English, it means "Would you like to dance with me?" "Kun maa jàak tee năi?" translates to "Where are you from?"
Everything must end sometime, but be rest assured, when it's time to leave Ban Chan, rest assured, you'll have great photos and memories to take home.
