"Nice hotel...very close to downtown Banff "
Wanted a hotel close to the core of downtown Banff and this was perfect..not even a half a block from Banff ave..and about right in the centre of Banff ave...the room was clean and they had a good continental breakfast. Staff was very friendly..also had underground parking at a cost of $5 per day, but found that to be very reasonable as if you paid for parking on the street you would have paid a lot more. Would definately go back to Brewster's Lodge again!

"Decent price, close to everything downtown"
If you want to be close to the shops and restaurants, Mount Royale is a perfect location. The sound proofing was actually better than what I expected, although you can still hear late night bachelorette parties. Free earplugs help with that though. Staff was always courteous and the room was adequate and clean, although I definitely have to agree the hotel could use a remodel. I'm pretty laid back and easy to please, but even I was like, "woah! This hotel has taken a beating!" There's dents and scratches on the doors and walls, and the furniture is pretty old school. Overall though, I would totally consider staying here again due to location and being reasonably priced.

"Puffy pillows are not for everyone!"
Room was very quiet and shower great. We had an inside courtyard "view" but we didn't spend much time in the hotel during the day, so that was okay. Liked the quick 5-step-up entry off the lobby to our room 109. There were like 6 pillows on the 2 queen beds but all were very puffy. I didn't bring my therapeutic one from home and found it hard to sleep on these. My husband requested new pillows but we just got 2 more of the same. Best thing was the buffet breakfast (free) with made-to-order omelettes, fruit, mini pancakes, yogurt, muffins, bacon, sausage and great coffee!
