Met expectations

Posted Mar 3, 2015
Everything was very good, but disappointed that there was no free WiFi in the lobby ( never mind the $10/day charge for Internet connection in the room). We won't go back for this one reason, and will warn anybody who asks about the Banff Park Lodge. Too bad, because everything else was to our liking...

Older hotel but great location

Posted Mar 3, 2015
Perfect location for those wanting to walk around town with easily access to the highway for hitting the slopes. Fair price but older building. They updated the pool/recreational area (which was excellent!), but the rooms are dimly lit with small bathrooms. Can easily hear people in the hallways through the walls/door. Comfortable beds and linens. Enjoyed the stay however and the amenities (ie. the pool and the restaurant) make up for the rooms. Nice perk to have underground heated parking despite the added cost.

Few days photography

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: It was very central and near to the main drag
Cons: More than 1 coffee sachet would be good
Location: Very close to main drag. Good location for exploring and especially for Jasper and Lake Louise.
The hotel was a base for a few days in the Rockys taking photos. Hotel was warm, clean and comfortable. With so many facilities very nearby the hotel breakfast was sacrificed and rightly so.

Nice hotel

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: We liked that it was walking distance to everything. Staff was very helpful. The Terrace lounge and dining area was very nice.
Cons: We really disliked the Chinook restaurant, and would not recommend it - at all. We opted not to due the buffet so we ordered off menu for breakfast.
Location: Walking distance to all the shops/museums and other venues.
Overall it was a pleasant experience. We would go back again.

Nice and clean

The hotel overall was excellent except for the ceiling light in our room was burnt out and the elevator was quite clunky

Great location. Clean room. Fantastic bed.

Posted Feb 12, 2015
Great location right downtown but off the busy street. The bed was fantastic. It is an older hotel but has all the necessary upgrades- fixtures, beds and bedding. Room was spacious, clean and staff were friendly. I would stay here again. Located directly across the street from Melissa's- best breakfast in town.

Excellent Location in Banff

Posted Feb 10, 2015
Pros: I love steam room & under ground parking
Cons: The heating system was little noisy during the night .
Location: Excellent location for eat out and shopping around.
Very nice staff with smile all the time. The guest room was very clean and I really like the steam room. It's easy to access all the amenities in Banff downtown.

Fantastic location and service!

Posted Feb 10, 2015
We had a girls weekend at this hotel - it was perfect for us. We rented 2 double rooms for the 4 of us. The main areas of the hotel are very nice but the rooms are very standard but clean. The location was perfect - close to everywhere . We had fabulous weather and enjoyed the balconies ! We had an excellent bellboy- I think his name was Reagan or close to that- who went out of his way to get all of the amenities we were missing- corkscrew, wine glasses etc- thanks so much!

Banff Springs Hotel

Posted Feb 3, 2015
Pros: Space, cleanliness, friendly staff and good parking.
Cons: More places to plug in electronics easily.
Location: Banff is tight, location is similar for almost all hotels and motels as it is an easy village to walk in.
Lovely, older hotel. In need of modernization but large rooms, very clean and great to have underground parking with carwash facilities. Very reasonably priced, great value. I did not eat in the hotel so no comment on food, but lovely restaurant for breakfast directly across the street. I have been in Banff many times, would 100% return to this hotel without hesitation.

Really enjoyed my birthday stay, but was disappointed that the King bed I requested was unavailable. Loved the location to shops.
