Unprofessional staff and management

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Cons: Staff service and management
Location: Very far from downtown Banff!
I booked this hotel one month before our annual family trip across BC/AB. When we arrived as a family, the staff had our designated rooms scattered across the hotel complex. With a large booking in advance, I kindly asked the staff to have our rooms moved to be within a (reasonably) close distance. The response I received was appalling. The lady behind the desk gave me an attitude I have never encountered before in the hospitality industry. She refused to speak with me and was very rude in general. I asked to speak with the manager, but he did not show up until the next day. When he did, he was also extremely rude and told us that this is the way they run their hotel. Not only did I dislike the service, I was greatly offended as a general customer. I found this hotel to be too expensive for what you get. It is also very far from the city (Banff). They said there would be a shuttle service into the city center, but we were not able to see a shuttle at all. Overall, rude staff, far hotel.

not as close to the town as we thought.

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: room was clean and comfortable
Cons: outside areas, and shop?
Location: too far from town to walk in to eat in the evening after a day out. not many facilities on site
the room was ok had all the necessary equipment for self catering. there was just something about the site that was not very comfortable, this was a feeling rather than physical. we did not use the restaurant and to say it has a small store is pushing it a bit. you need to go into town to get any supplies. we enjoyed our stay but 5/6 days would be enough.

Convenient to the highways and nice and quiet.

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: It was quiet.
Cons: Cleanliness and some updates on and around the grounds.
Location: Excellent location and a wide array of things to do.
Rooms could use a/c and if pets are allowed clean more thoroughly . Pool was filthy and needs work,

Beautiful Surrounding, Good Family place

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: Staff and great rooms.
Cons: Fix the treadmills and the pool could be cleaned or tiling updated.
Location: Near waterfalls. Lake Louise.
Staff were great. We booked 2 extra nights instead of going to Jasper and they accomidated for us. The hotel is a little run down but has the basics and is nice and comfortable. Great for families. Has pool, hot tub, tennis, squash, basketball courts, shuttle to town. Loved the place. The gym could do with an update (the 2 only treadmills were broken and looked like they had been for some time) and the pool tiles a good scrub. Also has pool table and sauna. The rooms are well equipt.

Everything is Excellent except a room temperature

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: We like a pool, a hot tub and BBQ spots.
Cons: Room was so hot so it's hard to sleep at night because top side rooms didn't have an air conditioner.
Location: It's close to Banff downtown and they have a shuttle bus so it is easy to access.
Everything is Excellent except a room temperature.

Located just outside of town.

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: The location.
Cons: The hotel room needs a microwave.
We liked this hotel. It was located just outside of the busyness of town. The hotel was very quiet and a very easy bike ride into town. Even though it was located barely out of town, it wasn't far from the activities of Banff.

Beautiful mountain views

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: The staff was excellent and very informative.
Cons: Updating the bathrooms and cleanliness could be improved. I found a lot hair in the bed, and that is unsatisfactory.
Location: Located outside the town, not convenient at all.
Very quiet at night. Shuttle service to Banff was great. Beds were comfortable, but not clean. The shower only had luke warm temperatures, and the shower head was very old. the room had no air exchanger or air conditioner and seemed stale when sleeping. it was quite a ways from the centre of town and my next visit will be situated closer to the town.
