O.K. accommodations

Posted May 26, 2015
Pros: It was comfortable and affordable. It is a great place for kids. Not so great for older couples, but o.k. if you are on a budget.
Cons: Maybe a time for adults only in the pool later in the evening. Food was expensive and not good.
Location: Great shuttle service to downtown Banff. minutes away from downtown, but far enough away to be quiet.
Hotel room was fairly dark, but comfortable for the price range. Room was well maintained. The pub food was absolutely horrible, we will not eat there again. I ordered Nachos with beef and they were burned badly and the beef I paid an extra $4 for was about a tablespoon's worth.

Pros: Very run down.
Cons: Freshen up the landscaping, totally upgrade the pools and hot tub area. Add soundproofing to the rooms upstairs and get new beds.
Location: It's Banff - everything is nearby - hiking, biking, shopping, etc.
It is sad that in a site like Banff Rocky Mountain Resort, would truly want to live up to it's name of a "Resort". Especially in a world renown town like Banff. The facilities, including the pool, overall site, and especially the beds were very run down.

if you stay in the first floor, be prepared for all the noise of second floor guest. and the noise of flushing toilet. the room is not noise proof .

Worst ever.

I will never stay again. Dirty carpets causes itchiness. Slow WiFi never fixed for couple of nights.

Comfortable place to stay with upgraded rooms.

Posted May 15, 2015
Pros: Nice rooms and options for amenities and activities.
Cons: The pool facilities, change rooms, and fitness area in bad need of face lift.
Location: No shortage of things to do nearby including hikes, bike rides, fitness, movies, restaurants, etc.
Nice place to stay with options for amenities. We used the tennis courts, and indoor & outdoor hot tubs. The pool was closed for a day for cleaning, but was a nice option for kids. There are options for movie nights with service staff, and also signed up and went on walk of Vermillion Lakes. You can rent bikes and much other fitness equipment if need be? Very pleasant stay and courteous staff throughout.

Lots to see and do. Nice pool and fitness Centre. Hiking trails. Movie nights. Bit of a hike into Banff but there is an excellent shuttle service.

Nice Resort

The whole resort is a bit tired looking but the staff were great - friendly and helpful. We got terrific rate on a room here so it felt like good value.

Quietly located away, but close to the main town site. A great location for a quick stay or passing through.
