Nice hotel. No air conditioning but great parking

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Stayed there 1 night. Hotel is perfectly located where you could park under ground ( for a charge) and just walk everywhere. No air conditioning in the room and the floor had a wet spot on it ( not sure what ) very basic toast fruit breakfast Bathroom was huge and clean I would stay again. Watch the rent a cops in banff they watch for speeders going over 30 km hr lol

Pros: I liked the hotel location, breakfast.
Cons: This hotel should install a/c and refrigerators to all rooms.
Location: Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby.
Hotel is right downtown easy access to everything. There is a garage next door where you can park for a fee. The hotel was clean. Some of the front desk people were very unfriendly. The breakfast was good for us lots of fresh fruit. The only real problem we had, was the lack of air conditioning. It was uncomfortable, especially at night with just fans. I am not sure if any of the Banff hotels have a/c or it was just this one. Also there was no fridge in the room,I thought that was a pretty standard thing to have.

Great location in the middle of Banff

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Summer cooling.
Location: Perfect to base a few nights in Banff
Great location to celebrate Canada day. Parking provided. Rooms hot during summer nights, requiring the use of pedestal fans to sleep.

no air conditioning

Posted Jul 12, 2014
Pros: decor and cleanliness
Cons: air conditioning in the rooms
Location: the hotel was central but this made it noisy, as well
Centrally located, this hotel was easy to find. We stayed in a suite with the bed in a loft. No air conditioning and no windows made for an uncomfortable night. The breakfast was quite nice.

Good location but low quality

Posted Jul 7, 2014
My room at ground floor but there is no direct access from lobby. I have to walk upstairs (or use elevator) to 2nd floor then carry my luggage to walk downstairs to my room. Very bad floor plan. Also small garage, always full. Very limited choices of breakfast.

EXPEDIA First time Experience

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: location, that is the only thing I can think of.
Cons: air conditioning, and not a fan, Also a decent breakfast when telling people there is a breakfast included.
Location: The stores, restaurants and the Bow Falls were awesome!
Paid for parking, there was no parking. We were facing the back alley and it was so loud all night long, We got aprox 3 hrs sleep out of 8. It was at least 35C in that room and so the window had to be kept open. I could not get another room. There was a Continental breakfast included. It was just cereal and bread items!!! THAT is not a a good breakfast nor a safe breakfast for a diabetic. I have stayed at lower rated hotels with better comfort and definitely more to offer. Shocking and disappointing. Lesson learned.

Something wrong with room lockers.

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Every day morning woke up by the nearby room to keep closing and opening the door. I also found my room was not auto locked when we went out.

Right in the centre of downtown Banff

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: Right in downtown Banff, convenient walking distance to shops Cons: - Interior of hotel is annoying to navigate (narrow alleyway with lots of corners) - Underground parking is limited and costs $5 per night - Not the cheapest
