I'll be back

Posted Jan 11, 2015
Great place to stay with the family. Lots of room to relax and cook meals. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. We took advantage of the gas BBQ to cook up some steaks and enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. Only negative was the inaccurate thermostat in our room. I will book here again for our next snowboarding trip. Hopefully they will buy a few more pool cue's by then.

Very noisy

Posted Jan 9, 2015
the downstairs unit (bear den) was very noisy. We could here people upstairs walking, talking, moving furniture and even using their washroom. The furnace was so loud that when it was running you had to raise your voice to have a conversation. On the upside the unit was comfortable enough for four and the view from the hot tub was wonderful. It was easy to locate from the highway.

Great for Groups!

Posted Jan 3, 2015
Travelled with our parents and child - 5 people in total and we were in the bear den (2 bedroom room). It had plenty of space and everything one could need right in the unit! A 2 min walk to the grocery store and pharmacy was great. Trains did run quite a bit but didnt bother us. Amenities are slim if that is what you are looking for... But it was quaint and cosy! The weekend we stayed the hotel was booked solid and it didnt seem to have enough parking so keep that in mind. But for what we were looking for, it was perfect and will definitely return!

Great place for groups.

This is a great place to stay for a ski trip or other group activities. Don't expect luxury, this hotel is best described as comfortable. Within easy walking distance of shopping. The kitchen and bbqs help keep you out of restaurants. For the price they can't be beat!

All the comforts of Home

Posted Oct 31, 2014
Pros: It felt like home all the required item to cook in
Location: 20 minutes to Banff, 1 hour from Lake Louise
This place had all the comfort of home, and the the view is a bonus, looking at the Rockies. Take note there is no house cleaning during your stay, if required at a cost. But for me that was plus, no one going in and out of the accommodation works for me and my family. You go in and out a you leisure without having to be out for house cleaning. It is pet friendly. The best part, 20 minutes from Banff

Nice amenities. Clean. Spacious.

This is a good place to stay. Hotel itself is outstanding. Only great problem is location. Railroad tracks are outside your back window and trains run all night. Not suitable for a light sleeper or those with small children. But it is typical of all properties in Canmore on that side of the road.

It was a good stay but....

Posted Oct 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
It was a good stay overall except a couple of points. I stayed at a 3 bed room unit (master bedroom facing the mountain view). You need ear plugs for the master bedroom due to the train noise at night and the hallway on the second floor was not so clean. In addition, found hairs in the bed. Other than these exception, the stay was pretty good overall.

Close to highway to Banff

Posted Oct 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
The Bear suite located in the basement/ground level. Living room and kitchen are very dark and looking wall and peoples legs. Bedrooms are fine but furniture is old. Apartment covered by broadloom which is VERY dirty. Kitchen could be supplied better. Hotel itself is located near the highway. Easy to reach Banff or downtown of Canmore. It was good to have a free parking and WiFi.
