Good value close to downtown Banff

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: Good location, good price.
Cons: Some refurbishing might be in order, room was starting to look a little well-used.
Location: 10 minute walk to downtown and restaurants.
Our second stay at Charlton's. We had a loft room, with a somewhat awkward spiral staircase to the loft. Room was clean and comfortable, if a bit noisy at times.

Cozy place to stay!

Posted Jul 21, 2014
My family stayed there for one night. Given the proximity to banff avenue it is walking distance and very convenient. All the staffs are friendly and the hotel rooms are clean and comfy. I liked the steam room and hot tub in the hotel. Check-in and check-out are easy. Would recommend to others definitely.

Not my favorite

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: walking distance from the downtown area; the fireplace in the room; breakfast on-site
Cons: sound-proofing of the walls, lighting in the breakfast room
We requested a deluxe king bed room. When we arrived we were told that room type was not available. However, they could upgrade our room to a loft room with a king and a spiral staircase at no extra charge. When we returned from shopping, the room assigned to us was already occupied so we received another room. The loft rooms have a very small footprint in the living spaces. The walls were very thin so much so, we could hear the conversation of the couple next door who had risen very early to catch their flight. So many mix-ups and not a good night sleep.

Nice but noisey

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Nice room comfy beds and good kitchen but we could hear the main a/c unit or some other mechanical thing which ran all night long and was bothersome. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the same everyday toast pastries cereal canned fruit yoghurt and cold hard boiled eggs. Ok but fresh fruit would be nice

Great family hotel

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: The staff was really helpful and friendly. Great advice on things todo and see.
Cons: The hot water could have been better. After a swim in the morning, around 10 am, there was no hot water left. We all had cold showers.
Location: Great location with only a 10 minute leisure walk to the beginning of the shopping street.
We had a 2 bdrm suite with a kitchen. The layout was great, one room was a queen bed, then the center was the kitchen and bathroom and then other end was a room with 2 two beds. Our girls loved that they had their own bed to sleep in! They had a pool, Jacuzzi and steam room. All great pool amenities. We have allergies, so it was nice that it was a no pet and no smoking hotel. The maid service ladies were great. Every morning when they made the twin beds, they lined up the stuffed animals for the girls. =) The breakfast variety was great. It accommodated everyone breakfast needs. The staff greeted us with a warm smile every morning.

Under Renovation

Pros: Location, large room.
Cons: Air conditioning
Hot Water, comfortable bed, good parking. Easy walk to downtown. What more can you ask for? The suite type room was above expectations.

Nice lodge

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Friendly Staff, Clean Room. Nice for the summer.
Cons: Underground parking for the winter would be good
Location: Close to Banff Avenue.
We stayed in their fireplace lodge, very nice room! Like the outside staircase and hallway, best for summer, not so good for winter. Staff are friendly, room is fairly new and clean. Beware in the winter because it doesn't have indoor parking.

Grossly overpriced.

No view, no balcony or anything. Much too expensive for a room like this.
