The hotel is good

The only thing I did not like was the bed system and having to adjust to the right comfort level. I would prefer a standard pillow top bed

15 minutes to Banff. I would stay there again.

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: Two bottles of water in the room. Good for hiking. The front desk staff would call restaurants and make reservations.
Cons: Fix that hot tub. Beware of large groups of Japanese and Chinese tourists heading for the restaurant. Eat early or wait till after 8 am.
Location: Alberta visitor center has great information. Will loan you Bear Spray, really. We enjoyed eating at the Iron Goat, just up the road. River Rafting
Cheaper than Banff. Right off the Trans Candian Highway. Clean rooms. Nice beds. Friendly staff. Business center for checking email. Restaurant is co-located. Hot buffet was $14 and Cold Buffet was $9 including coffee and juice. It's a railroad town, so you can hear the train engines when they pass, but just a faint hum. Didn't wake me up and didn't bother me at all.

For 1 night, it'll do.

Posted Jul 8, 2014
First of all, the name of the hotel changed between the time that I booked it and the time of our stay.. no where did it say that the hotel was previously the Radisson so there we were trying to find a hotel that no longer existed. Some signage would've been appreciated, or an email notification would have sufficed too. We were there for less than 24 hrs for a wedding. 3 women, 1 tiny room, 1 very tiny bathroom and 2 very uncomfortable beds. They're sleep number beds - sounds fancy.. but, either ours were broken or they were just plain unpleasant.. changing the numbers didn't help, they were still all saggy in the middle, just the edges got firmer; and one of them made horrible clunking noises even to sit on it. Fortunately, we were out late and then up early so for the few hours of sleep we did get it was bearable. I wouldn't stay more than 1 night but in a pinch, it'll do. As for the rest of the facilities, we didn't even have time to explore them. The front desk staff was really nice, though.

Great if you're passing through

Posted Jul 8, 2014
I want to start off by saying the hotel staff were great & very friendly. In good Expedia style the room that was selected was right near the elevator & the hotel staff took it on themselves to change my room so myself & my kids would have a great sleep. Rooms weren't anything to brag about though. It looked like they had tried to do a bit of a face lift on the room but was still sub par. I just needed the room to stay in for the 1 night as we were passing through on our way to Invermere & it did the trick.

Good location hotel needs work

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Location was good.
Cons: Hotel needs a good cleaning and updating (furniture worn and carpets filthy)
Location: Close to Banff park and lots of activities in the area.
Facilities look run down and worn. Carpets filthy and bathroom could have been much cleaner. Bed sheets ill fitting and kept sliding off. Hot tub out of order and pool area dirty. Would not stay there again or recommend it.

Nice exterior but a little worn in the rooms.

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: That it was close to the highway and the rates were somewhat reasonable and that there were availabilities.
Cons: Different beds.
The front desk staff was very helpful. The sleep number beds were a little strange and not that comfy. They are basically a glorified air bed.

Noisy. Trains.

Coast had purchased hotel the night before and mass confusion on front desk. Did not get the corner room as promised on booking, and hence lots of train noise & noise from rooms either side & hallway. Requesting compensation.

Confusion

Posted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness
On the day of check in there was a bit of confusion. However, it was rectified. On day 2 of our stay, there was no soap in the bathroom. Overall, the stay was satisfactory. Thank you, Laurie
