“details”
Room has older, cabin feel, but they paid attention to all the details: murphy bed in living room, kitchen, nightlight in bathroom to help you find it, DVD player in room, supplies to make fire in fireplace, balcony, free wireless internet. Beds are comfortable and the shower is hot. It does not look like a luxurious 5 star hotel room, but the details make it very comfortable. Would stay here again.
“Very nice”
The location is great - far enough from the town but not too far. Rooms are very clean and not too small. We've requested 2 cribs and got them on the arrival.
“Douglas Fir - Banff”
Hotel was fine, good location. Housekeeping did not empty trash everyday, but room was clean and comfortable. We were in a loft in the main building with two adults and two grown kids. Laundry on-site was a big help.
“Beautiful Banff. Would return”
Staff have been excellent and very courteous and helpful. Managed to find us two extra nights in the same room over a very busy long weekend. A few ks out of town (good for us) but a free public bus to village. Onsite convenience and liquor store very good. Kitchen well equipped, filter coffee provided each day A cozy fireplace with plenty of wood available Good kids activities including water slide, also spa and other facilities Surrounding area is simply beautiful
“A great family hotel.”
We have been here a number of times over the years and the kids still love it. The room was too warm and we were not able to control the heat other than to open the patio doors (this was in the winter). Also, the waterslide pool was having some major problems one of the days where too much chlorine was being put into the pool causing guests to have very sore eyes, and some respiratory issues, eventually leading to the pool being closed early one evening. On the other hand, this stay was during spring break and the staff realized that many families staying with them were not skiers so they opened the pool earlier than ususal to accomodate. Now that is responsive management!
“Look forward to returning soon!”
It was a pleasant stay. The room was clean and spacious. A perfect spot for a family. This is the only hotel we consider when staying in the Banff area. We can't wait for our next visit.
“Very impressed and happy to stay.”
I was very satisfied . It was near to Banff downtown and other places. The one bed room condo has everything: Fireplace is loaded with fire woods and all kitchen utensils with even kitchen towel. It was clean, friendly staff, and wooded area with a tennis court. Teenagers can play basket ball at the tennis court . There is an hour hiking trail to the mountain but I couldn't do it because there are so many things to do around the town. Please do rafting at Kicking House River. It was great fun.
“Great stay!”
We have stayed at this property before and will most certainly stay there again!
“Great Getaway”
Great place to stay, but a little off the beaten path. Nice rooms with fireplaces. If you intend to use two beds, I recommend against the hide-a-bed, otherwise, this hotel was perfect.
“Nice hotel specially for kids”
Hotel has a beautiful fireplace in each room, pulldown bed is very comfortable, all 1-bedroom app. are on the ground floor an because it is really hilly sometimes it´s only a small window in your bedroom facing the carpark. We got a room which smelled bad, but we got straight away another one. Waterslides and Playzone are great. Staff very helpfull. 5 min drive from downtown Banff.
