It's OK.

Pros: Enough beds for all, cost efficient. Driving to downtown is quick.
Cons: The place is kind of old, not much they can do about that.
Location: Walk around downtown is fun.
Good thing about this place is that a single booking fits the six of us.

Great place for families

Posted Jul 26, 2015
We enjoyed our stay at Douglas Firs. We had a kitchenette with a full-size fridge and stove. We were surrounded by miles of trails and beautiful scenery, however we were only minutes from great restaurants and shopping. We took the free bus into town to avoid having to find parking. The kids loved the waterpark and hot tub. The resort offered a small grocery store and laundry services. We stayed for four nights and could have stayed for more. I loved Banff and the resort we chose.

Pros: Location and ambience.
There were six of us. And I think a unit with 2 queen beds and a murphy bed and a chesterfield shou;d perhaps be equipped with more then one shower.

Very old building and facilities. A small AC working for a large room space. Need to drive to Banff town center. Comparatively expensive due to the room condition.

Fan-freakin-tastic!

Our family of four has a harder time finding clean, reasonably priced accommodations now that our daughter is 15 and son is 14, and over 6'2"!! Cots and bad sleeper sofas don't cut it...these rooms were perfect! So clean, so quiet and the beds were the best of our two province tour. We will be back!

Nice hotel but limited wifi, up a hill

Posted Jul 8, 2015
Free wifi was very limited and very slow kept dropping out. Hotel itself was as they advertised. It's a bit out of town up a hill and the free shuttle is actually the local Banff town bus. Rooms were clean but old. Kids loved the water slide which was included with the accommodation.

The best thing of the room is the view

Posted Jul 3, 2015
Pros: The view
Cons: Maintainence of the cleaness
Location: The Bannf downtown has a lot to see and go around, we like the Canadian ice cream shop at the Main Street
My boys liked the loft and running up and down the stairs. I felt overall it's ok, except it's a bit old. The best thing is the majestic view of the mountain opposite the balcony.

Banff Alberta

Posted Jun 30, 2015
