Just an average suite

Bathroom smelt like mildew and elevator didn't work half the time. Very noisy neighbors. But we've all contributed to that at one time or another. Was a very nice facility with spacious deck and bbq.

Nice hotel for a quick stay

Restaurant at the hotel was really good. The restaurant service was mediocre. The server had an "air" about him. The room was pretty small, the shower took forever to get to the right temperature and they give you the bare minimum for towels. For 2 people we had 1 hand towel, 1 face cloth and 2 bath towels. The t.v. was a lot of pay per view. The pool was out of commission which meant they provided elevation place for us.. which closes at 9 and has the rest of the town in attendance. Those were the negatives. The positives... nicely decorated, comfortable bed, quiet and pretty modern updates throughout. In saying all that, it was a night out with the husband with no kids and worked for what we needed it for.

I will never recommend this old hotel to anyone

We saw 4 rooms before stayed I had paid extra for a 1 bedroom view but ended up over the parking garage looking into a building The shower did not work and we had to walk miles to our room Very disappointing Never returing old and out of date To not stay here W

Nicest looking Resort in Canmore!

The Resort was beautiful and in a great location! Room cleanliness could have been a bit better, and it would have been nice to have the bathrooms cleaned and stocked with fresh towels every day without having to ask, but all in all I would definitely recommend it and stay there again.

Pros: Close proximity to everything
Cons: Ensure that staff replenish the K-cups
The hotel itself was nice, but the only thing I have to say is that they supplied a Keurig, but no coffee or tea K-cups. As usual there are never enough towels any hotels.

Exemplary Hotel Manager

This Resort is nestled in the beautiful Rocky Mountains in the quaint little town of Canmore, just a few minutes away from Banff. We enjoyed all that the Town had to offer in the way of beautiful scenery, quaint shops and Bistro's. We also had the pleasure of enjoying two beautifully prepared meals in the Habitat Restaurant located on the Resort Property. Our room wow us from the moment we walk in. It was very well laid out with easy access to it from the abundant parking for the road weary traveler. The attention to detail such as house coats and a well stock washroom and kitchen did not go unnoticed. The bathroom shower was impressive with its modern multi function shower heads and massage settings for a tired skiers body. Our room had a full kitchen with a breakfast bar and stools, dishwasher and the most modern of appliances. What impressed us most about our stay was the Hotel Manager Brent who went above and beyond to ensure that we where made to feel comfortable and valued at his Resort. Taking the time from his busy day to personally escort us to our room to ensure everything met our needs and asking us "to please contact him if we needed anything to make our stay more enjoyable". Brent is the type of Manager every Business can only dream of having and one that all Businesses would want to retain. Thank you again for a great weekend, we look forward to staying at your resort again.

Disappointed by uncleanliness

Location: Great location, close to many activities.
We booked a little mountain getaway at The Grande Resort of the Rockies. We got a 2 bedroom suite and the kids were excited to use the waterslide/pool area. However, we were so disappointed and almost disgusted by the cleanliness of the room and hotel. The condo smelt of grease and all the walls, doors and handles were sticky with grease. The floors were dirty and kitchen table had stuck on food from previous visitors. The hallways common area floor had stuff all over it, candy, dirt and more. It was vacuumed up a day after being there. The pool area was quite dirty as well. There was a ton of sand on the bottom of the pool. The stairs up the waterslide were covered in dirt and hair – hardly ever cleaned it looked like. It made us not even want to go in the pool but we did. The kids did enjoy their time in the pool. The room layout was great for us, very spacious but the cleanliness was so bad. We did mention to the front desk twice about the cleanliness and they just said they’d leave a note for the manager, especially about the pool. Not even offering to come attend to our room that we paid quite a lot for. When we were packing up we checked under the bed for any toys that the kids had forgot and discovered something splattered along the bed skirt – what looked like puke that had been there for a long time. This condo was not what we expected and we left disgusted.

Quality has gone down

Pros: I like the convenient location and the pool is great for kids. The rooms are relatively spacious and nice (when equipped with adequate towels, soap)
Cons: Increased number of quality staff, answer the phone at the front desk, ensure all rooms are fully equipped, keep pool area clean, stocked with towels
This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel and was very disappointed by the overall quality of my stay. From making the online reservation, having it get cancelled on me for no reason and then trying to get through to speak to someone about it was very annoying. Upon arrival, they were short staffed, some rooms were not ready until 6pm and they were not fully equipped with soap, towels, etc. The pool had no towels except for the giant pile of sopping wet ones on the ground. This experience was the complete opposite of the first time I've stayed here. I'm not sure what has changed but it seemed like the majority of the staff were young people who did not care. The manager however, was very accommodating and did everything he could to resolve the issues we were experiencing.

No "luxury" in this luxury room

Cons: My room was small and dirty and did not have the expected incidentals like coffee for the coffee maker or a privacy sign for the door.
This was supposed to be a "luxury" room. It was small, looked out on a tire yard and had no redeeming qualities - no balcony or a fire place. not even a bathtub? With so many hotels to choose from I would never choose this one again.
