Great Location and Atmosphere

Posted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: The hot tub/pool/sauna area is amazing, no need to pay for the Hot Springs when you have this at your hotel.
Cons: There are wood fireplaces so one of our rooms smelled a bit of camp fire.
Location: Great location with trails and wildlife right outside. It is NOT downtown if that is what you are looking for.
A quick drive from town (or 30 minute leisurely walk) with stunning views of the city. Loved this place and the staff were very accommodating.

Beautiful view from the hot tub! Gorgeous setting

Posted Feb 27, 2015
Pros: Close to the town of Banff, just up the side of Tunnel mountain.
Cons: The room has a wood fireplace, so you could smell that in the room.
Location: Close to everything.
A great stay as a family of five. Cozy spot, convenient kitchenette, bedroom separate from main living quarters.

Cozy hotel near Banff with a great view, pool & hot tub. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our loft with full kitchen and fireplace during our 3 night stay.

We would stay again!

Posted Jan 29, 2015
We (2 adults and a 4-year-old) booked into a one bedroom deluxe condo for a 5-night visit to Banff. The condo was spacious and comfortable and we particularly liked the open fireplace and ample supply of wood for it. 2 days into our stay, some friends from Calgary decided to join us and we requested an upgrade to bigger accommodation. The staff (particularly Karen) went out of their way to meet our request and were offered a condo with 2 bedrooms, a loft room and games room with a sofa bed. The rate was excellent and the condo met our needs exactly. The excellent customer service and the lovely location (just up the hill from Banff town centre) really helped to make our stay memorable. This resort would definitely be our first choice for a return trip to Banff.

Great Condo for a Family of Four!

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: Kitchen, space, hot tub
Location: 5 minutes to Banff, close to ski resorts and open space
We stayed in a one bedroom with loft condo with our two small kids (4 and 5) for 6 nights. It was wonderful to have a kitchen, we ate at least of our meals at home every day, and it was great to have the space the condo provided. The condo was clean and in good condition and provided most of the kitchen items we needed for simple meals. The grounds of Hidden Ridge Resort were excellent as well. It's right next to a campground and open space, so we spent many morning walking across the street to let the kids play in the snow. We also used the large hot tub most nights, which was an added bonus. The only negative comments are that there were a few kitchen items missing (measuring cups and colander) that we could have used and it seemed like the resort had a lot of people staying there to party on the weekend. It was loud but didn't bother us too much.

Great staff, amazing views, dated units.

Posted Jan 11, 2015
The unit was very large and perfect for accommodating a family trip with 7 adults and 2 children. The staff was extremely helpful and prompt to respond to any requests. The unit has some cosmetic issues (crayon markings on walls, large scrapes from skis, etc) but overall is pretty nice. I was a little disappointed to see apartment-sized appliances in their largest unit. It made cooking for such a large group challenging. Additionally, the front door didn't really close all the way, letting in a huge draft (not so nice on a -25 night). However, I've stayed in lots of hotels in the rookies and have never come across better staff. In an industry with high turnover, I've come to expect pretty low standards. All staff at hidden ridge was friendly and always wiling to help. I would go back for that reason alone.
