Great stay!

It's location is not difficult to find. I The fact that it is near the town center is a major plus! Parking was easy. Checking in was also quick and we got the room that we requested. The rooms are clean and neat. There's a mini fridge, television, microwave, coffee maker and air conditioning system in each rooms. There's plenty of towels and the beds (we got the room with 2 double beds) are really comfortable. Guests may request a cot for $15. There's a restaurant inside which servea decent food. And there's an outdoor tub.

Over priced with nowhere to park

We were in Canmore for a sporting event with our kids and thought we would go for a know chain, what a mistake. Check in was chaotic and not very friendly, the room was old and tiny for $279.00 a night. All services close down at 10pm and do not open until 7am on weekends. The real kicker was the parking, two boats in the lot taking up a total of ten parking spaces made it hard to find a spot and parking in the back meant a long walk for tiered kids. We will not be back.

Fine place to sleep but don't eat there

Pros: Good room rates, good location, clean and comfortable.
Cons: Restaurant is totally disfunctional & some front desk staff does not have the basic training or sense not to call a guest room at nearly midnight.
Location: Canmore is 15 min. from Banff N.P. and Kananasis Country, both of which are beautiful & rugged. Canmore has a neat Main Street w/ good coffee shops.
Convenient location. Newish hotel. Room was fine. Front desk was friendly and helpful. HOWEVER, one of the night shift front desk people called my room at 11:30 at night(!) to see if we would be using the last night of our reservation!! Wierd, rude and just thoughtless. He woke my entire family including two tired kids. The restaurant is a joke. We waited nearly 90 minutes for our simple breakfast, and the place was almost empty. We would not be using our kids eat free coupons again. A couple of days later as we were walking out, a furious customer stormed the front desk and demanded to know why more than an hour passed since he placed his breakfast order. Does the kitchen do an order-by-order grocery run to get the ingredients at Safeway?

Pros: The Hotel is close to downtown, however away from the noise. It is very quiet and relaxing
Location: Silver Tip golf course is just down the road.
Love the hot tub very clean I loved that it is open until 11pm. The view of the mountains are spectacular. Excellent food in the dining room.

A relaxing hotel close to Banff without the crowds

Pros: The hotel is right off the highway and next to the small town of Canmore which provides some nice dining options. Away from busy crowds in Banff.
Cons: The first room we were given smelled musty but the staff quickly moved us to another room. The black-out blinds don't close all the way - used clips.
Location: Canmore is just on the other side of the highway. It's nice and quiet at the hotel. The Summit Cafe is down the road and has excellent breakfast!
We had a nice 4-day stay at Holiday Inn Canmore. We were visiting Banff and Lake Louise and decided to use this hotel as our home base. It's 10 minutes from Banff, which is a quick drive in the morning and at the end of the day. We enjoyed being away from the busy streets of Banff at night and Canmore is just next door so there was always some place to hang out if Banff was too crowded. For breakfast we recommend the Summit Cafe just down the road - it's great!

Great hotel and location. Only issue was the wifi connection that never worked. Other than that, I will recommend this hotel

Cons: Breakfast needs to improve
we had good time but breakfast service was poor and there wasn't much of a fruit only oranges and sometimes people are alergic to citric

The staff were very nice and accommodating. I had to work and was able to use the business center for a few hours while taking turns with other guests since there was only 1 computer.

Nice stay for sure

Good hotel with reasonable price, Room are very good and clean . The only small thing about it that one of my two booked room wasn't ready ton time and it took 20 minutes to be ready. Not a big deal.
