Pros: Its in Lake Louise. It has beds.
Cons: Customer service needs some major work.
Location: Ski Hill
First time staying at the Lake Louise Inn, poor experience in general. We were originally supposed to have a room booked at a discounted rate for a performance we were attending... Ended up having to pay full price, which was expensive(250+) for a 1 bedroom with hideaway bed. The facilities are nice, if they let you use them. We got in one of the hot tubs and were promptly kicked out by a grumpy old maintenance manager who seemed to be ruining not just our night, but a lot of other customers. The hot tub has a 5 person limit, but its big enough for at the very least 8. There was 6 of us in the hot tub at the time that he had 3 of us removed. The room itself is what you'd expect from a hotel. I wouldn't stay here again though.

No Room Heat

Posted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: Close to Lake Louise Ski area and town ammenities
Cons: Have better restaurant hours and get a more responsible maintenance manager.
I contacted the front desk folks about the no heat issue and a guy came while we were out apparently. The heat still did not work so I asked the maids for a fix. They had another fellow come (whom was the understudy of the maintenance boss). He said the boss guy said there wasn't a problem with the heat. The newer fellow (a Chinese immigrant, which I mention so maybe this hotel takes notice of him) was more diligent, very polite and obviously allot smarter then the boss, he fixed the problem. The room phone would not connect with the front desk as well.

Nice hotel close to ski hill

Posted Apr 7, 2014
Pros: close proximity to the hill
Cons: I think a hot tub outside would be an added benefit! TV guide also please!
Location: We stayed for the skiing so never really looked for anything else to do, but did enjoy the hot tub and pool in the evening
We stayed at the Lake Louise Inn Condo one bedroom appt for four days in March. The rooms were clean and we really liked the fact that the shuttle to the hill came every 30 minutes and was so close. The restaurants in the hotel were very good as well. The only complaint we had was the TV had no Guide, so we had to jump from channel to channel to see what was on.

Won't return

Posted Apr 4, 2014
Pros: I remember the pizza bar being quite nice, but it wasn't open when we visited this time. I didn't really like anything else.
Cons: The pool and locker rooms were disgusting, especially the hot pool connected to the swimming pool - peeling paint and mould.
Location: Skiing, sightseeing, snow shoeing, hiking.
I was disappointed from the outset by the reception I was given at the front desk when trying to book a room. I had a voucher from Costco that was valid for a discounted rate off the best available rate on 'ALL' rooms. 'All' was in bold capitals. The woman on reception told me that this was not available on the basic double room, only the larger rooms. When I showed her the voucher that said all rooms she just repeated herself and said it wasn't available on the basic room. In the end we booked the basic room anyway, but the room we were given (which was pretty grotty) was freezing cold and the heating would not come on. Long story short we eventually got moved to a room that was warm and slightly bigger, but I definitely won't return. I would much rather pay a little more for a Heritage Room at Deer Lodge.

Day of skiing at Lake Louise

Posted Apr 1, 2014
Cons: We chose to drive to the ski resort and should have taken the shuttle. It would have been faster. Does the shuttle avoid the $20 park fee?
Got there after 1am after long drive. They were waiting up for me and greeted me. I felt appreciative that they were there and glad to be done with a long day of travel. Breakfast the next morning was good and I enjoyed my hand made latte at breakfast.

Not for families

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Room was extremely small & walls paper-thin (neighbours kept us up until after 5 am), parking was very difficult, reservations - they lied to us. Room decor was old, stained & nasty looking. The bathroom smelled of marijuana. We will never stay here again!

Dear reviewer, Your comments are important to us, thank you for posting them. I do not know the details of your booking and cannot comment on the availability of rooms on the night of your stay. All of our rooms in the 5 lodges have efficient and modern central hot water boilers and the pressure meets regulatory requirements. I am sorry your breakfast experience was not positive. There is always a manager on duty and I am sure this person would have been pleased to address your concerns had they known. I am sorry you were delayed. Regards, Andre Fabbri General Manager

Over priced for so little

Posted Mar 8, 2014
For the cost I was expecting more but then again it is Lake Louise. It was clean, which is important, but the room was very small and dated. The hot tub and pool were very busy so we couldn't enjoy an evening dip. For close to 200$ a night I was expecting more. I will stay in Banff or Canmore next time.
