Decent hotel with easy access to mountain

Posted Jan 19, 2015
Pros: Bus direct to and from mountain for skiing - makes it so easy. Good selection of restaurant options, swimming pool was an unexpected hit with the kids
Cons: Rooms are a little tired
Location: Not much to do in Lake Louise but the hotel is well situated to the Samson Mall (5min walk) - this is essentially the Lake Louise village.
Overall hotel is decent. Rooms and the exterior of the hotel are a little tired but sufficient for a skiing trip. Staff were polite. Staff voluntarily offered us a better room located in the main building half way through the trip but with 2 kids it was too big a hassle to move but it was appreciated.

Ok but wouldn't stay again.

We didn't know until we arrived that our room was not in the same building as the pool. The beds are hard and the rooms too hot. The pool was cold and the hot tub was overcrowded. The only thing we liked was the staff were nice, helpful and friendly.

Dear Sandy, Thank you for your wonderful comments about our great associates! I am sorry we did not meet your expectations in regards to bed comfort, room and pool temperature. Our 2 hottubs are popular and enjoyed regularly by many of our guests. regards Lake Louise Inn

Nice hotel. Close to ski hill.

Posted Jan 2, 2015
Pros: Proximity to ski hill. Pool and hot tub even though they were dirty!
Cons: Cleanliness and more cleaning staff monitoring change rooms and pool area. Cleaning the pool and hot tub.
Location: We just skiied.
We stayed for 2 nights with our family of 2 adults and 2 kids. The facilities were fine but could use a face lift. The pub had good food. The kids were able to join us in the pub until 8pm so that was a bonus. The pool was cold and had a 'dirty ring' around it's perimetre. The hot tubs were good and in a great location as we could see our kids in the pool from them. The upper hot tub had dirty walls on it. We never sat in the lower hot tub as it was full. It would be nice to have more shelving or tables to put our personal items as our bag sat on the floor and got wet. The boot area is very congested and the stairs were dirty and dark. The changerooms needed more frequent monitoring as towels and stuff where making it messy. Overall, we had a fine stay but for the price, we expected better accomodations.

Good place to sleep

Posted Jan 2, 2015
The only problem I encountered was that the room we were given did not match what we had booked. I booked a room with two double beds and the only room available was a room with one bed and a fold out couch. There wasn't anything to be done about it so we took the room, but I think that the Expedia folk should check on where the problem arose. If this is an issue for other people at this hotel then they should be removed from the Expedia listings.
